We love the seating areas outside, perfect for late summer sunshine. Unfortunately they weren’t geared up for serving food outside in respect of staffing. But we did ask to sit outside in the end, as did other guests, just had to go in to order our food and get our own drinks. Not a big deal. Main courses were great 😊, the pigs ear croquettes starter were greasy and gritty, not pleasant. No desserts. We love the courtyard seating area by the fountain, feels very Mediterranean ❤️

A cosy restaurant , tucked away in the countryside. Lovely food, really nice presentation. As it was a weekday, rather quiet but nonetheless, we enjoyed our lunch and will definitely return.

Lovely setting, perfect place to enjoy the late summer sunshine. We had a lovely Sunday lunch, we all chose roast. Cannot fault the food, service was good. Unfortunately they forgot our cauliflower cheese, it arrived after reminding one of the team, but we were 2/3rds through the meal. We opted not to have dessert, this time. Definitely returning 😊

It was so nice to return to The Vine Tree now that it is under new management. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The only problem was the noise level as the main bar area was right by our table. Some soft furnishings would help absorb the echo and harshness of the voices. We were shouting to be heard and there were only 6 people in the bar! Nevertheless we had a great evening and will be returning.

I ate on my own. I enjoyed the buzz of the place and had a lovely meal. The service was very attentive and welcoming. Will definitely come again, when I am next in the area. Thank you.

Overall, a very pleasant experience. Lots of outdoor space with comfortable seating. Good selection of roasts on the menu. Quality meat which was cooked and presented well.

Lovely venue, gorgeous garden. Food and service were great bar the sticky toffee pudding which was ‘dense’ rather than light and fluffy.

An old favurite with new owners, food and service well presented, but lose the charge for caul cheese, makes you look cheap skates, otherwise outsanding! Good ale and wines, consider doing Blue Light/Defence Discount, you have a base on your doorstep, and senior ranks would patronise you??
