This was a great experience. I highly recommend the Vine Tree. The staff gave a very good first impression. Professional and attentive.
The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The plates were warm. The starter (crab risotto with blood orange) was a great combination of flavours. The cod loin (main) was equally delicious.
It was also good value for money. £80 for two including two glasses of wine.

Really good food crab risotto and wood pigeon on lentils both gorgeous starters then steak and the fish main courses similarly good. Service nice, kitchen open, really enjoyed the whole thing. Maybe a little pricey (we did have a bottle of wine) but worth it.

Short menu with something for everyone (meat/fish/veggie). Highlights: Beautifully balanced crab risotto, wild mushrooms (both starters), cod loin perfectly cooked. Steak huge. Portions large, be hungry! Low: no room for pudding and there was baked cheesecake (note to self, should not have scoffed lovely bread rolls). Great to see kitchen from table. Very nice staff, service great.

Our new favourite place to eat! The meal was outstanding value and delicious. Every ingredient had a place on the plate and dishes were ecpertly balanced. I love watching Connor at the pass. He is so meticulous and organised and obviously has a passion for his craft. The pigeon, gnocchi ( fantastic baked artichokes!) and date sponge were all excellent.
The front of house team were friendly and attentive. Excellent servicd.
The only thing we would change is the chairs! They are hard and uncomfortable. Cushions perhaps?
Many thanks to the whole team.
Hopefully the same standards will be maintained when Connor is juggling two hospitality venues.

The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, staff were friendly and relaxed. The food is a step above the usual pub grub.

We got to the restaurant on time (7.15pm) only to find it closed.
We had no contact from the restaurant to say they would not open.
Appalling customer service. I will never book there again.
Fortunately we had a great meal at ‘ The Dragon’ in Crickhowell.
