A really lovely meal for our anniversary. The ‘amuse-bouche’ roll & butter were both divine!! I had the parfait to start & my husband had the smoked egg & mushroom, both delicious, but my pork chop & mash main was to die for, as was the cod my husband chose,the best meal hes ever had apparently!!! Would absolutely visit again the next time we come to the area. Very enjoyable & the cost reasonable too!!!

Too many tables in a small space. We were seated in front of the open serving hatch with very little room for the waitresses or other customers, to pass by without saying excuse me or sorry for pushing past. Sunday lunch was tasty despite the beef being very tough to cut. Dessert was again very nice but extremely small. Drinks also expensive.

Great place. Food was superb, service excellent and for the quality, good value for money. Could do with a senior front of house to welcome and check in on people. Well done and great addition to Crickhowell superb culinary offering.

First time we have been here since it changed ownership and we were not disappointed. Friendly attentive staff. Good choice of food which was a bit different but delicious.Will definitely go again.

Excellent meal. Only negative was we were seated next to the kitchen area which was a bit noisy and made discussion difficult on times.

Such a fabulous Sunday lunch, probably the best I can remember having out. We had the beef and the pork, both were perfectly cooked, beautifully tender and absolutely delicious. Roast potatoes were stunning, and lots of lovely veg too. We had the egg custard tart and bara brith for pudding and both were delicious…especially the Tunworth ice cream! The star of the show was definitely the beef dripping focaccia…never knew bread and butter could taste so good! Service was great, and there was a calmness in the kitchen it was a pleasure to witness. Amazing value for the quality of the food, and we’ll definitely be back.

Early days yet, so the food was good, but not outstanding and the service friendly, if a little variable. What let it down for us was we were put in the area where the kitchen is on view (not a problem), but the area is crammed with 8 tables. We were initially in the line of direct flow by the waiters/tresses between the bar area tables and the kitchen with hardly room for them to squeeze past our chairs. We moved to a corner, eventually, which was less in the direct line of fire. The noise level is very high and, as we have discovered in other restaurants, the comfort of people with a hearing difficulty is not considered. The bar area, but contrast, appeared to be underpopulated and much quieter. Yes, we will go again!

Amazing food, efficient, attentive but not intrusive service. Only downside is tables are very close to each other. Had to move the table for my friend to sit and then my chair touched the table behind. That said, I will go back!
