   This was an extraordinary experience: the above and beyond service by all; beautiful ambiance; lovely soft jazz; cocktails and wine selection; and of course the meal—from the canapés to the second dessert!

   The Village Pub is an elegant perfect restaurant with superb professional service, extraordinary food and a wine list that can only be termed profound. We have been coming here for special occasions for many years and were a bit surprised to find that their menu is now entirely pris fixe ($130 in April 2025) with daily specials available as well. No problem! Everything was exquisite including the delightful crudités, sublime Parker house rolls and amazing post-dessert bites. In the Bay Area, definitely worth a detour!

   We were surprised to see how few people were lunching, but quickly realized most were outside enjoying a beautiful day. The food is imaginative, beautifully plated and delicious. Our server was attentive and not intrusive. I appreciated being given the chance to taste the wine (a glass of champagne for me, Chardonnay for my husband) before the somm poured. It was a lovely place to celebrate a birthday!

   Great restaurant. Impeccable service from our waiter Juan and the staff Very elegant surroundings with a very comfortable feeling Delicious and innovative food It was my birthday and they made it very special for me with a card and acknowledgments and a special dessert and candle We will definitely return

   I had a wonderful experience at this place, I tried their brunch menu - Fennel and Coriander Tuna, Lobster Frittata, and Chocolate Soufflé were all outstanding—flavorful and expertly prepared. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, and I’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
