The Vig at McDowell Mountain is the 5th member in the Vig family of restaurants and the 11th establishment in the Genuine Concepts family of bars and restaurants. This Vig boasts breathtaking views of the McDowell mountains while featuring 2 full-service bars, spacious indoor booth and table seating and more than ample outdoor facilities for games and activities.
The Vig at McDowell Mountain is in a new standalone building on the southwest corner of Bell Road and Thompson Peak Parkway. The roughly 13,000-square-foot space is designed to take advantage of mountain views with large glass windows and other elements that bring the outdoors inside.

On being seated at our inside table, the live music was so loud that we could not hear each other. My husband told the hostess and she moved us outside. It was better but still hard to talk with our friends who joined us. We asked them to turn down the speakers and it was still loud. Our server was good, but the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered Rockfish tacos and there was very little fish mostly cabbage; our friend had a French Dip that he specifically asked for medium rare. They brought home a new sandwich, but it was still grayish. The server explained that it was hard to get it medium rare and still have it warm. Unacceptable! We were exhausted attempting to have to try to hear conversation! We’re not returning!

we have been there a few times and enjoyed it but this time it was awful for most of our evening there. people let their kids run around and scream outside when people were trying to enjoy their meal and evening out. people are rude and the restaurant let them run around like it was a playground or McDonalds or a Chuckie Cheese. i didn't ever see them advertise that they are a kids restaurant and offering an area for them to run around and scream. we asked staff to tell the parents to have the kids keep it down and we think it got a tiny bit better. it was unacceptable.

Waitress was so sweet and helpful and was attentive to our food allergies. Only downside was noise level but it was the table we were next to.

The Vig is our “go to” spot as it never disappoints with great food, service and atmosphere! Last night was not any different with a great server that recommended the salmon that was outstanding. Great live music as well! The best outdoor dining space in NE Scottsdale.

We always have a good experience at the Vig. It was very noisy, but it was Friday night and more people were eating indoors because of the heat.

We had to move our table because of the noise from the table next to us we couldn’t hear ourselves talk. Waitress was wonderful in her response and moved us immediately

We enjoy this venue. Service was wonderful. Live music was present. The restaurant is loud, but that’s would be expected for this design. This is one of our go to places.

Josh was friendly and overall a good server. Issue was all w the food. The avocado toast is lack luster and basically toast w guacamole spread on top. Added eggs (which they don’t do poached). Ordered over medium and first time got a fried hard egg. Re made and still not over medium. But gave up. Clearly the cook/chef has. O idea how to make eggs. Biscuit n gravy was yummy but potatoes were inedible overcooked and just all seasoning that was over powering. And chorizo burrito was good but ingredients were not even throughout. Chorizo on one side. Eggs on other side It was spicy.. but had it been made right might have been better. Best part of meal was cinnamon bun at end. Drinks were ok too. So in total. Nothing worth wanting to go back for brunch. Other than bun. Only good thing was the view of mountains. This vig seems to be going downhill

Booked 51st birthday brunch for two. No acknowledgement of birthday by host or wait staff. Felt rushed with how quickly electronic check was delivered after completion of main entrees. No thank you or acknowledgement by host staff as we departed.
