It was my daughter's 16th birthday, so I took her and a group of her friends to The View to eat dinner, while I got a table at the bar where I could see them. They made my daughter feel so special, celebrated her at every turn, and attended their table like they were VIP's. I felt like the staff truly wanted to make it a memorable experience for her. The food was top-notch and the view was breathtaking, especially during the sunset hour. Thank you Chaminade & the amazing staff at The View.

I celebrated my Birthday Dinner with reservations at 4pm, our waiter was amazing 5 stars! I was sung Happy Birthday too in the most beautiful language they went the EXTRA Mike to my day special & I will 100% recommend & encourage everyone to go here!! Wonderful

We had huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. Both were delicious, well prepared and well presented. Dessert was the star. Sticky toffee pudding with Marianne’s ice cream and an ice cream sandwich made with ginger cookies.

What a beautiful place to have dinner. The halibut dish I had was fabulous. Talk about a view!

We had a terrible server who made inappropriate jokes about having to pay him to ask questions. He never checked back to ask about drinks or ordering more. Our food took so long that I had to ask the hostess to get it. I told other staff he needs some serious training! He is not an asset to restaurant”s atmosphere.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Santa Cruz in a very long time - from start to finish. If you’re looking for a special treat, this is IT.

Gian and crew took great care of our table. Sweet hostess. Fish & chips and birria tacos were quite popular. Forest to ocean view was exquisite. Lots of parking and also valet is available.

Food is average, so so. Servers are courteous but service is slow to come. Ambience is good.

Full view of the bay and boats sailing by. Breathtakingly stunning views. Bustling staff and managers at breakfast. Bartender was friendly and the food was excellent. We opted to sit outside after a spicy Bloody Mary. So glad we did. Not much else to say except it was perfection.

The view of the bay was so beautiful. I arrived the first time 30 minutes before the restaurant opened. The gentlemen was putting cushions out and setting up. We spoke about everything from binoculars to tourism. I think hospitality needs more of this. When I asked if there was any food available, without hesitation he took my order and was back no more than 5-10 minutes with my order. They weren’t even open yet. I brought this order to my kids and felt obligated to return with my wife for an early lunch. We had a great table, I noticed the same guy telling his hostess that he knew me etc. We were taken out to the railside seating with a spectacular view and great meal. Kudos
