The Victoria Inn is a quaint, country inn that just happens to based in the City or the South East of it anyway. Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch with family. Huge portions of everything. When we last went on Easter Sunday we noted that the Yorkshire puddings were suffering from being too big and this was affecting their quality and taste, and were delighted to learn that this feedback had been taken into account. Excellent value. Had to have a kip when we got home.

Although the atmosphere and the decor of the pub was very nice, it would be very unlikely that I would go there to eat again. As a party of 8, we waited over an hour for our food and then another 20 minutes for a salad and soup to arrive for my daughter so we actually couldn’t all eat together. And when the sea bass finally arrived, it was 1/3 of a sea bass, accompanied by literally five half-sized burnt baby potatoes. As it was to celebrate my son’s birthday- it was a very disappointing experience. The only upside was that the staff were very nice - they apologised (apparently there was something wrong with the chef / kitchen that night) and they did comp a couple of the meals. Hopefully it was a one off.

Lovely pub and friendly staff. Quality of most of the food was good. Shame a piece of sharp plastic was found in one starter and another side dish was burnt. However, this was rectified quickly. Had run out of house wine so no choice but to go for more expensive options. I have been to the Victoria before and had much better experiences so hopefully it was a one-off.

Loved every minute of our visit to the Victoria Inn located in a buzzy, quirky part of Choumert Road in Peckham. An absolute corker of a pub for both food (delicious!) and service too. A special shout out following our visit on last Saturday to the Manager and Liz our server...so friendly, fun and accommodating, nothing was too much. We will most certainly be returning in the future and would recommend highly.

We went to the Victoria Inn for a family Easter lunch. I arrived slightly ahead of the rest of the family and was disappointed that in spite of having booked the table several weeks ago, the table wasn't ready on arrival and it was nearly 10 minutes before we were seated. However, once we were sitting down our server was very sweet and helpful. I found it slightly odd that the print menu didn't mention that roast lamb was available, but it was if you asked for it. And the food was certainly worth it - very large portions of everything and really generous vegetables. Only minus would be for the Yorkshire pudding - a giant yorkie isn't necessarily a good yorkie, and the tops of the pudding were too dry. The benchmark for a Sunday lunch for me is "is it as good or better than I would cook myself", and the answer was definitely yes. Also, given the excellence of the food, the price was very reasonable.

Great food and good value. Wait times were very long though, given that it wasn’t that busy when we were seated.
