Perched on the mezzanine of The Connector at Winthrop Center in Downtown Boston, The Vermilion Club is Chef John Fraser’s modern take on a classic chophouse. The space exudes a vibrant energy, making it the ideal destination for all occasions. Named after Dale Chihuly's masterpiece sculpture above our 55-foot bar, The Vermilion Club embodies a design-forward ethos conceptualized by Thomas Juul-Hansen.

Chef Fraser's Mediterranean heritage shines through in the menu, featuring elevated steakhouse classics and Northeastern favorites. Beverage Director Amy Racine unveils an expansive cocktail lineup featuring over 70 meticulously curated cocktails, reintroducing classic cocktails with a contemporary twist. The pastry program is under the expert guidance of Chef Sofia Schlieben, and her large-format Caramelized Puff Pie takes center stage.

Took my friend here for her birthday and they absolutely took care of us. Our waters never ran low, dishes were cleared quickly and we were never rushed. Our waiter explained the menu very well, gave us time to settle in and finish our drinks, and helped me suprise my my friend with bubbles and dessert. The whole staff was incredibly attentive and caring, answering all questions and going above and beyond to check on private party sizing for future events. The food was great, we had the salad, carrots, tuna entre and mac n cheese. The tuna was a bit salty but that was our only note. Drinks we had margs and a ranch water we both loved, alongside the Prosecco. Thanks again, all!

Second time here, didn't think they could beat the first! What stands out about this place is that the food is excellent, and awesome wine pairings- but the staff really knows their stuff- THAT is rare. This place gets the details exactly right.

Very nice and welcoming staff. They really wanted us to have a phenomenal dining experience, which we did. The also surprised us with a huge delicious cake as it was a birthday celebration. The food was amazing.

Great service. Food was good. Simply seasoned but good. If you’re looking for a good vibe I recommend sitting at the bar. Beautiful bar.

To start off the space is beautiful. This is not a boring looking restaurant but architecturally unique. The food is outstanding! Everything we have ever ordered was delicious. A must try is the French Onion dumplings and the tartar trio. We dine out often and usually at the best places around the world. The Vermillion Club did not disappoint. It definitely should be on your list a places to go in Boston!

I had the pleasure of dining here last night for my niece's birthday and we had a spectacular time. The restaurant is located in an interesting location with a novel layout that ended up being very nice as the tables were well positioned for privacy and the layout resulted in not feeling like being surrounded by large groups of tables in a large steakhouse. The service was excellent and the meal was perfectly timed. Our server also was very attentive but what I liked most was he didn't interrupt the meal but if he saw my wine glass was empty he was right there to refill. The food was excellent and the notes as follows: 1. Buttermilk calamari - this was amazing. Perfectly cooked and very unique breading with the buttermilk - 11 out of 10 on this dish; 2. 1/2 dozen oysters - perfectly shucked and some unique oysters I haven't seen before with a choice of briny or more fresh finish - 11 out of 10; 3. Lobster cocktail - could have used slightly more creme fraiche but absolutely delicious - 10 out of 10; 4. Prime rib - I haven't had prime rib in a decade but was intriguing so I ordered. Amazing taste, crust and perfectly medium rare. Served with an au juis and I ordered horseradish on the side. Many of their meat products are Snake River so they are buying and serving the best. Next time I am ordering that American Wagyu tomahawk - 15 out of 10; 5. My niece had the salmon and she shared one bite and it was delicious; 6. Now comes the good stuff - for dessert we had the baked alaska (my favorite dessert), the souffle and the mousse. All desserts were absolutely incredible and I loved the cherry brandy glaze on the baked alaska - 12 out of 10: Lastly, great wine selection with many reasonably priced bottles and glasses of really, really good wine. The cocktail menu was also robust and I enjoyed the Vermillion dirty martini. Everything exceeded our expectations and we will certainly be back. This is a great restaurant with very solid pricing (refreshing in this economy

Wonderful food and service. Seating and decor was sophisticated and comfortable, but a touch strange being in an office space foyer (albeit a very expansive and swanky one). Very nice place to take clients.

Overall a great restaurant. Cool vibe and great service! My only complaint was that everything had a little to much citrus. I also wished they had a lighter dessert option. Maybe some seasonal sorbets or something more fruit forward. We had a great time however and will absolutely go back!
