Executive Chef Jon Simoneau has developed a menu that features fresh, sustainable raised Colorado beef for quality steak selections and a range of New American dishes that can be enjoyed. We also have a full cocktail bar and carefully curated an extensive selection of wines that is approachable and newcomers and connoisseurs alike.

We are located adjacent to Union Station on the corner of 15th & Wynkoop. Our focus is on consistently good food without the frills and fuss of haute cuisine but delivering on 5-star service.

Just want to say what a great dinner experience my wife and I had the other night at the Velvet Cellar. We had never been and decided we would try it out. The food and service were spectacular and I have to say the value of what we got in both food and wine was really fantastic. It was one of the best pieces of cooked salmon I have had in a long time, and the chicken was also on point. The purple sweet potato creme brulee was truly special and something I was just wowed eating (and I am not a big sweet potato fan). One of the things I liked the most was that at the end of the evening after we had left, we got an email from the ownership thanking us for coming. While I am sure it was a form letter, the fact that they did that was really a nice touch. I look forward to going back and trying some different dishes. I am confident I won't be dissapointed.

Absolutely outstanding. We decided to just share the shareables and that was more than enough for two of us. The Korean Lollipops and the Green Chili Arancini were fabulous. The quality of the food, drinks and service were exceptional.

The Autumn salad was by far the most unique and tasty dish. The steak was good but not very good considering this is billed as a steak restaurant. The wine was on sale at 25% off the bottle which was appreciated. There did not seem to be much expertise for wine selection.

We’ve been here before but hadn’t had a chance to order off the main menu before. The Rosemary Chicken was delicious and when I mentioned to the waitstaff that I am dairy free, she didn’t hesitate. She told me about the sauce and veggies; only the potatoes were a question so I happily substituted French fries. Love the fact that guests and I can hold conversation without shouting over each other. We will be back.

We have enjoyed Velvet Cellar several times. Tonight, however, the service was extremely slow. I suppose we shouldn't go to the restaurant on a night when there is an Avalanche game as the servers indicated that was the reason our food was late to the table. No apologies. I guess they needed to attend to those tables instead of ours. Disappointing.

This was an absolutely fantastic dining experience! My boyfriend and I dined here last night for our 1 year anniversary and it was such a treat. I put notes in our reservation that it was our anniversary and they served us a complimentary glass of champagne each, such a nice touch! The restaurant had such a cool ambiance that felt modern but also classy. Our waiter was so professional, friendly and accommodating. He made great food recommendations and we also ordered a bottle of wine, which they corked for us and put in a bag since we underestimated how much we could drink in one sitting. The food was absolutely divine and flavorful. I highly recommend this establishment for special occasions or if you're in the mood for great and fancy dining.

Bar tender was very nice and brought us our drinks and menus promptly. Cocktails were delicious. We went for the last brunch and while the food was amazing we could understand why they wee pulling the plug....it was us and 6 other people in the restaurant. We have also been here for dinner several times and would highly recommend!
