I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my mom’s birthday at the Vanitea Room, and it was truly a delightful experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and soothing, providing the perfect setting for a special mother-daughter outing. The service was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. The dining experience was creative and unique, offering a fresh take on afternoon tea that felt both indulgent and thoughtful. The ambiance added an extra layer of charm to the visit, making it a place I would highly recommend and will certainly return to again!

Went for the afternoon tea experience, my guest said it one of the best ones in Ottawa as we tried all of them so far. Great service and attention to detail only irritant was the fruit flies that were flying around the whole 1.5hrs we were dining. I would come back a third time.

We went for drag brunch and the show was amazing. So was the actual venue. However, the food was not worth the price. The tower was mostly bread and the dessert was a croissant pressed in a waffle maker, which sounds good but it made the bread very dry, hard to cut and very hard to chew. I’d recommend an a la carte menu that people can choose from for such an event, especially if it’s $70 a person.

Drag brunch was spectacular! Loved the queens and the music was amazing. First time having the upgrade of bottomless mimosas and the passionfruit was super yummy. LOVE the new take on brunch towers croissants. I'm vegan and gluten free and they made accommodations for both myself and my daughter victoria. Thank you gisline and gwenyth for going above and beyond!

The food quality has gone down since I’ve been last year. Was disappointed with the food and the prices we paid. Overall I’ve been three times and the past visit was disappointing

Delightful afternoon tea. Great choice of teas. Sandwiches outstanding. The dairy-free platter for my super-allergic daughter was excellent - she didn’t feel left-out as she often does. The two young lady wait staff were delightful and helpful - really added to an excellent birthday experience. And, as my granddaughter said, the decor was super cute. Thank you for a great experience. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

Food was amazing and the patio is cute- very warm inside though and they were down a chef so it was very slow- but service was good otherwise.

Awesome! Excellent food at a reasonable price point, lovely ambiance, tasty mimosas and the service was pleasant, quick, and responsive. Cute space too.

I had my bridal shower here, so so special! Thank you Vanitea for taking such good care of us and our family! Perfect place for special celebrations and spoiling yourself, literally lol. Food was beautiful and super tasty (flavourful for British fare.)
