Located in the heart of historic Genesee Depot just down the road from the famous Ten Chimneys you will find the Union House. Known for its unique menu featuring wild game fused with classic fine dining, our mission is to bring people together while creating a memorable dining experience surrounded by historic photos of the town along with Union House frequenters, Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt. The menu is driven by ingredients and is constantly developing throughout the year led by award-winning Executive Chef and General Manager, Dan Harrell and Executive Sous Chef, Christian Garcia-Cortez. We feature an extensive wine, scotch and bourbon list highlighting selections from around the United States and world along with barrel-aged old fashioneds and Manhattans that include our very own hand-crafted bitters. We look forward to having you join us!

The atmosphere and service was good. It was a little too dark to actually read the menu without using our phones. Prices were very high for what we received Steaks were good but potatoes were undercooked and lacked seasoning. Desert didn’t taste fresh.

We are sorry you weren't happy with your food, we do wish you would've brought this to our attention at the time of your visit so we could have fixed the issue while you were still dining with us. I do hope you give us another chance in the near future so we can get that four star to a five!

We went for a birthday and the staff treated us so well. I was very pleased with how it wasn’t noisy. The food was wonderful. Great night!

It had been probably 20 years since we dined at at Union House, so the décor had been redone-lovely-and the menu had changed, but everything that made it special back then remains intact. (It was so nice to be greeted by a hostess who was a warm, happy person. It’s the best introduction to a dining experience and sets the tone for everything that follows.) My dad and husband ooohed and ahhhed over their French onion soups, my salad was perfection. Lately, it’s been hard to find a salad that has been freshly made (not wilted in places from sitting around), with just the right amount of dressing to flavor the delicate leaves v drowning them. This salad with the almonds, bits of blue cheese and red wine vinaigrette was simply perfect. The small portion was plenty large. We all went nuts for the dauphinois potatoes. They were velvety and rich inside with a crispy golden top. The steaks and lamb chops were perfection, although there was more fat on the lamb than meat. The fact that the lamb is locally sourced and delivered from the farm fresh every week made up for the extra fat. It was the most tender succulent lamb. The seasonings on the accompanying chickpea tagine, herbed yogurt and fenugreek cream were subtle to the taste, but fragrant. If I were to wax poetic, which wouldn’t be crazy because the lamb was so good, I’d say it was like a Moroccan dream. The carpaccio was a large portion of tender, paper thin beef served with toasted baguette-my husband ate every molecule snd I’m pretty sure said “mmmmmmm” on every single bite. The wine list is superb as always, and our delightful server Gordo was very knowledgable and charming. Although a Tuesday night, it was busy, and there was a mix of casual diners and “special occasion” guests. Either way, The Union House is something special and does not disappoint. We will be back again…often, too!

Union House was absolutely wonderful. Everything about it. From the food to the service was exceptional. The evening would have been a 10+, except for the table next to us. One loud customer. But even that annoying person could not ruin the evening for us. This was our first visit. Definitely not our last.

Decided on the scallops vs steak for this visit. Absolutely delicious & done to perfection! The pairing with carrot risotto was wonderful!

The beautiful restaurant, the ambience, the music, the bartender Rick, Donna our server So informative so nice I can’t wait to come back. We sat a table late by the fireplace. My daughter and I had a wonderful visit. I had the antelope it was great thank you I will definitely be back.
