The iconic and heritage listed Union Bank building is spoilt for private event and dining spaces. Whether you're after an intimate private dining room, or the whole Schoolhouse restaurant, we have plenty of options. Spaces include: The Lobby is a small and intimate private dining room for up to 8 guests. The Bank Room is a large private dining room for up to 18 guests. Fantastic meal, great service and wine. Only tiny gripe was it was quite loud but hey, that’s cos the place was busy, buzzing and thriving so not really a gripe

80th birthday Sunday lunch! So nice to sit and relax with share plates and drinks in the spring sunshine. The staff were so accommodating making our occasion peaceful, calm and so special.

As a local this is one of our most favourite places to eat when going out. We Brought our visitors to enjoy this time and they keep say it was the best meal they ever had and everything is Amazing!! Lucky to have such a wonderfully place to eat and enjoy a drink. Thank you!!

The food was fantastic! Unfortunately, our Waitress never explained to us that the menu is designed for sharing. We ordered what we thought was a couple of starters and 2 mains. This resulted in my meal coming about 20-30 mins before my husbands steak, so we essentially ate separately. Had we known that the meals were designed to be shared, we would have ordered accordingly. I did (very nicely) suggest to the Waitress that an explanation would have been super helpful and got a lot of attitude and that it was our fault for "interrupting" by ordering wine.

The service lets this place down. None of the waiters were particularly friendly and functioned effectively as plate deliverers and drink conveyers. Potato scallop Batter too thick Middle of the potato was undercooked Octopus Chewy. Good char though. Needs more work on tenderising the flesh. Beetroot salad The only thing I really enjoyed. This was fresh and delicious. Room had good bones but could do with a bit more art. Too many blank walls.

We had a lovely dining experience . The staff were attentive but not overpowering and the food was delicious. The servings are small.
