One server for multiple tables ( although i think only about 5 total the whole time we were there) made service super slow. He did his best, but they needed more staff, especially when one of the other tables was a larger party. There was no host (we saw 2 couples come in, were ignored as they were waiting, with the one waitstaff who had his back to door so they left) and a manager who was nowhere to be found over the hour + we were there except twice when it seemed she was needed to fix a ticket and came over for half a second to the computer kiosk to do that and leave. No desire or effort to support her staff aside from that and seemed to be hanging out at the bar. Never came to ask how we were doing or enjoying the food. Pacing was way off. We ordered a salad appetizer which came out 30 seconds before the rest of the food. Food was just soso, not bad, but nothing special, steak was low quality for the $40 plate, but a pasta dish was decent. We were looking forward to a nice night out before catching a show and it was lackluster and unimpressive.. makes me sad as I like to support new/local places but not sure how this place will make it. Assuming it benefits greatly by locale next to the theatres and downtown, but otherwise ?
