Welcome to The Tippler & Co, a hip bar/eatery and ‘in place’ with the locals, styled with what we like to call a relaxing rustic-chic décor. As the former site of Cafe Balzac and located only a stone’s throw from the MCG, we’ve created a space built on our passion for hospitality, food and drink. We keep things relaxed, yet fun and interesting for Tippler regulars and newbies alike. Add to that an ever-changing food and drinks selection and the scene is set for a great time. Walk-ins are always welcome, but if you’ve got a special occasion planned, we advise booking in advance.

We went for lunch and was our first time visiting. The food was amzingly mouth exoloding every bite. The resturant its self is decorated great with a choice of two seating areas. music of choice was perfect. I will 100% be going back here when i get the chance. I highly reccommend you will not be dissapointed one bit

Food, ambiance, cocktails, a notable wine list and craft beer. What more could u want. Staff were super friendly and wow the food came out so quickly but was absolutely delicious. They even catered for the fact i had to keep my foot elevated due to an ankle reconstruction. They made my month as i had been stuck at home on bedrest and was in melb for my post operative appt. Cant wait to come back and try some more delicious cocktails when i can let my hair down. An absolute gem!!

Good neighbour hood local & great staff. Kitchen can close early between 8 & 9 pm.

Staff were friendly and professional. Food was awesome. Perfect for a drink and a bite to eat before events at the ‘G or surrounding sporting precinct.

Met up for a drink with work colleagues, then dinner after on a Wednesday night. Great location, nice bar and the food was great. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, cosy, hip, a casual drink with friends ended up with tapas and a great night enjoyed by all of us. Great friendly staff, if anything overstaffed Sat night! Highly recommend, will be back

We love this place. It is very convenient to the MCG for pre or post drinks and food. The new Mural Room has a great atmosphere
