Sally, Dave and their team at The Throckmorton, Coughton look forward to greeting you.

Following a major refurbishment in Autumn 2014 under the new ownership, Sally and Dave pride themselves on offering fresh, local, homemade food every day from 9am to 9pm.

The various menus include restaurant quality seasonal dishes from the ‘Chef’s Recommendations’ section through to a great selection of fresh fish and tasty steaks.

Great food, too much of it. Tried to force it down but needed room for the delicious chocolate mousse. Always a success, never disappointed.

We found the Throckmorton a very pleasant place to eat. The food was very good and served promptly. The staff were very welcoming and informative about the menus. We did however find the prices a little expensive compared with similar places. But overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

A truly excellent Sunday roast, one of the best we have ever had. Very nice and chilled restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, not too busy. Service was also vey good indeed.

Hi There We had a great experience at the ThrockMorton. The food and service was excellent!! We are regular customers at The Throckmorton. We were given a card for their WIN A MEAL FOR TWO. which stated that I should contact Open Table and give them a review of our visit to Open Table which I have just done above. It stated that I should also give you the handwritten number that was written on the card, which was 144. We ordered the Sunday lunch meals. My starter of arancini was the only successful plate. The mushroom starter was bland. The roast mains included inedible yorkshire pudding and unroasted potatoes. Steamed veg were ok but nothing to shout about. Roast lamb was ok and the beetroot bourguignon was actually quite nice - if only it hadn't looked like beef! I eat veggie food because I dislike meat. I wish chefs could understand this. We didn't risk the puds. The wine per glass was astonishingly expensive.

Staff were warm and welcoming my wife and I both went for the two course Sunday roast option for £24.95 so we both chose roast beef which came with roast potatoes and steamed vegetables we were asked about extra sides so chose roast parsnips cauliflower cheese and mashed potatoes which was an extra £13 on top I then had a pint of Ale which was a local brewed beer from Purity brewery who are 3 miles away from the pub and is one of my favorite choices of beer and it was flat as a pancake no life in it what so ever and I was charged £5.50 for the privilege my wife had a sparkling water I gave them the benefit of the doubt later on and ordered another pint of ale to my disappointment it was worse than the first beer the roast potatoes were hard the bill came to £73 for two which I thought was steep if everything was top notch I probably would not be writing a review

Brilliant way to spend 51st wedding anniversary. Welcoming and service by front of house staff was very personal not a chain pub repeatedly offered same phases. Starters were excellent only criticism would be the bread served with pate was far too hard. We were then were overwhelmed by the main course as part of the two or three course offer. Well presented and hot. The Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were appealing and tasty. My trio of roasts was huge full of great flavours and left even big eater like me struggling. My wife had the pulled and rolled lamb, one her favourite meats. Absolutely 100% lean lamb and delicious. We both just managed to leave empty plates. We were so full that a sweet was out of the question. This means we must go back possibly during the week and with friends. My only concern was that the doors to the patio were open and we were in a draught. Easily remied next time and only a minor point that didn’t distract from quality taste food that is so hard to find. My only other worry is to advise drivers to take care entering or exiting the site from the busy A435. Be patient it’s well work it.

My friend and I had not actually been to the Throckmorton for a number of years so we thought we would give it a go, and we were pleasantly surprised, it was a very pleasant experience. The waitress was very good and very professional.
