Sally, Dave and their team at The Throckmorton, Coughton look forward to greeting you.

Following a major refurbishment in Autumn 2014 under the new ownership, Sally and Dave pride themselves on offering fresh, local, homemade food every day from 9am to 9pm.

The various menus include restaurant quality seasonal dishes from the ‘Chef’s Recommendations’ section through to a great selection of fresh fish and tasty steaks.

Had a lovely early Saturday dinner out on the sun terrace. We had booked a table indoors but as the weather was so nice we asked if we could eat outside. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food arrived in good time and was well presented and a good portion. Also very tasty. Overall good experience and would recommend.

Really disappointing and such a shame as this used to be such good pub. Not sure what’s happened, must be new kitchen staff. Fish and mash was very poor quality. Front of house Staff was lovely tho. Really empty too on a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon. This isn’t a horrible review just a real shame to see once a good pub where the food was outstanding go terribly downhill. We wish you all the best and hope to see it improve really quick.

Always nice for breakfast here comfortable lounge staff always friendly and polite only thing for me is their pieces of toast are abysmal other than that food is good

Overall a bit disappointing the starters were of poor value The fish pie contained only 2 prawns and little fish content This was our 39 th wedding anniversary and thought we would have a lunch after visiting Coughton court The lady who attended to us was very attentive no issues with the service I never say don’t go there have previously had a good experience

We had Haddock and home made chips the fish was really nice and the mushy peas however the chips where more like oven chips and were very dry and hard. we have been here to eat many times and never had a problem. I will still return as its a nice place to eat

Change of menu - not sure it’s an improvement. One fish cake was exceptionally spicy and unpleasant the other was ok. Liver came with pepper sauce which was not as good as usual gravy. Accommodated elderly relative with child’s menu which was good. Crostini with parfait was too thin and just crumbled. Very noisy but staff were helpful and pleasant.

Food and Service staff very good. Tables and chairs very comfortable. Bar and Restaurant very clean and well furnished.
