Traditional 1700s pub with a bar menu of classic British and global food. The Three Houses is located in Sandal just a stones throw from Sandal Castle. Serving local produce - and those a bit further afield - we bring our take of modern bistro food into a vibrant and creative world. We serve seasonally inspired cuisine alongside Yorkshire favourites. If you like Yorkshire puddings then try our giant Yorkshire filled with a full Sunday lunch!!

Sunday lunch was ok but not much food for the price one sugar snap pea !! Small amount of mash potato also the waiting staff all were dressed casually and wondering around aimlessly it was hard to distinguish the staff from the customers

We are so delighted that the Threes is back … lovely evening fabulous service by Alex and Chloe .. fab food and great wine really good value …. We will be back !

Still work to be done on the service and place but hopeful knowing the new owners that it will get there. Food amazing.

We went for a Sunday dinner on 10th November and you wouldn't think it had only been open a week! It's a lovely, cosy atmosphere, the log fire was burning and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We were seated on time in the restaurant and it was very busy, but this didn't affect the service at all. Food was out quickly, we both had the beef dinner which was lovely. Then apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding for dessert - all was delicious. We will definitely be back - thank you :)

This has been a favourite of ours for over 20 years,but recently it has been under different management, has closed, reopened and had definitely lost it's way. We went for Sunday lunch 10 Nov and the place was as busy as I've ever seen it. Great Sunday lunch,really good value, and even though they were having problems with the booking system, the service was excellent. Really pleased to see a resurgence in the place,we will definitely be returning.

A wonderful tasty meal with a lovely atmosphere. So glad to have this little gem on our doorstep. A few teething problems with service but was soon rectified. Great value for mone. Cant wait to return.

Good value quality food with pleasant service by the staff. We will definitely return and I encourage diner’s who have not been for a while to give it a try. Please note last food orders are 8.30

The bar area had a nice atmosphere as plenty of people were in there. It’s dog friendly which will attract a lot of people. The bar staff were quick with the drinks service, but were not linking in with the restaurant staff, as when I informed them that I had a restaurant booking they simply pointed me down a corridor. We walked down the corridor and saw the restaurant on the right hand side. Nobody was on front of house, so we walked in and began taking a seat. There were only three tables in use. One of the restaurant staff then said “I’ll have to get you a table”. We then had to get up, and we were moved to the next table. Nobody actually took the table where we had initially sat. The restaurant area was quiet, so had no real atmosphere. The music that was playing kept going on and off as if someone was constantly going outside their Bluetooth range. Once at the table, the service in the restaurant was good and the food was spot on. We would go back because the food was great, but they do need to work on the front of house for the restaurant area.
