Welcome to the Three Crowns, a beautiful, part-thatched 5-star inn set in the heart of the pretty Dartmoor town of Chagford.

Behind its imposing granite facade, the Three Crowns is a magical mix of 13th century features and contemporary comfort and style. From beamed ceiling and huge inglenook fireplaces, to a glass atrium and stunning courtyard garden, the Three Crowns is a delightful place to enjoy great food and a comfortable stay.

We offer a delicious menu featuring fresh, local seasonal produce, cooked to order by our talented team. We also offer an extensive wine list and a great selection of soft drinks. We have a policy of ‘keeping it local’ and use local ingredients in our dishes and stock local wines and juices. Whether you choose to eat in the cosy, traditional front bar with its log fire and mullioned windows or the stunning light and open glass atrium we are sure you will enjoy your meal.

I chose the Monkfish & Prawn curry, which was excellent and my granddaughter choose the Meze platter the perfect choice for a vegetarian. Speedy service with a check from service staff to ensure we were happy with our meal.

The Three Crowns is a really great place, a fantastic building. The food is very good and always a pleasant atmosphere. Most of the staff are great just some are not so warm and friendly as the others. Great front of house.

We were seated in the lovely old bar area as we had our dog with us .... All very relaxing and very dog friendly with little biscuits too for our furry friends. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly. Staff very friendly and attentive. Food absolutely delicious, some of the best we have had in a very long time. My only regret was I didn't have room for a dessert. Totally recommend and will definitely make a return visit next time we are down. Thank you.

Excellent food - the prawn cocktail starters were exceptional. Great lamb pie and good beer - fewer and fewer bars keep a good best bitter and the Jail Ale is just that. Jolly good.

We had a very enjoyable evening with guest from overseas. Food was excellent as was the service. Warm and friendly welcome and lovely atmosphere!
