Soak up our friendly service and homely charm when nestled on the outskirts of Hasland, a small villageon the south side of the historic market town of Chesterfield town. Here at The Three Cottages, we are the perfect retreat to sit back, relax and indulge in our delicious food with your favourite drink in hand. Our traditional pub classics are expertly crafted from our seasonal menus and the bar is crammed with local ales and tipples to tempt any taste buds.     Lovely friendly staff. Gave us a great welcome on arrival and were very attentive. All four of us really enjoyed our meals (starter, main and dessert). Will definitely be returning.

    Lovely staff, excellent food, great atmosphere - oh, and by the way, even the paper napkins felt like soft cotton. Can definitely recommend.

    Visited with 4 friends. Service was good on the whole though we waited quite a while for the food to come. One of the party had a Wellington with wedges which she found to be very dry and she didn't eat very much of it. When I've been in restaurants before and left most of my meal I have been asked if it was OK. The other meals were fine without being anything special. I felt the meals could have been enhanced by the addition of vegetables. Overall we will visit again the staff were friendly and the restaurant was very pleasant.

    Food is usually amazing, we had brought family for Father’s Day and have to say it was really disappointing. The food wasn’t as good, it felt like it had been prepared for the day and we came in the evening so tough meat, hard roasted veg etc. lastly we ordered crumble with flapjack crumb, it was honestly the worst desert I’ve ever had. I never send food back but on this occasion myself and another with the same desert refused it. It was as thought they’d run out and thought they’d sprinkle some uncooked porridge oats on top. It was disgusting. Nothing like crumble or flapjack and I genuinely don’t know how anyone would enjoy that. It’s a shame as it was a disappointing experience and has put us off returning if the food is not a reliable standard.

    We went for the lunch meal deal , the portions were small . Normally lunch meals are regular portions just cheaper because its lunch time . It was more a light bite deal really . What we had was very nice and the venue is lovely . We shall return and try the evening menu

    Lovely atmosphere., Prompt efficient service. Beef slightly tough but everything else was great. Will definitely visit again.

    It has been a while since we have been to the 3 cottages for a meal and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and the food was excellent quality and the steak was cooked as requested. A nice time was had by all.

    The food was delicious, it was a bit slow in coming but it was Sunday and unfortunately it had rained very hard and the rain had come in the restaurant so staff were coping with that. The staff for our table were efficient and knowledgeable.
