Here at The Three Cottages, we are the perfect retreat to sit back, relax and indulge in our delicious food with your favourite drink in hand. Four of us called for lunch and we had been before but our friends had not. We were not rushed to choose there was a good choice. It was cooked fresh for the time waited which was fine. Hot plates excellent. The food was good enough to satisfy appetites. The desserts were very good. All round an overall great experience.

On our arrival we got our drinks told the person on the front fest we had a table booked & we’re sitting outside for a while as we’d arrived earl'y she told us our table number for when we were ready to come in & order, that was all fine. When we went to our table we’d had only been looking at the menu for a short period & someone came to take our order we said could we have a few more minutes & she was quite off turned around & walked off, my husband and I were a little taken aback, when we made our decisions we placed our ours, when they arrived my husband were minus peas & my looked ok until I started eating it, I had fish & chips, the fish had dark hard bits in which totally put my off, I told a waitress & she took it away L, I was asked if there was anything else I fancied, I chose scampi, the meal was ok apart from the peas! Don’t think we’ll be returning!

The fish was not as we would expect it to be, and we are so sorry about that, but I felt we dealt with something that was out of our control as professionally as we could and felt you were happy with the outcome. Myself and the lady that looked after you feel terrible you left feeling we were offish-I am so sorry you got that impression from us. I totally respect you decision not to return as I am honestly not sure what else we could have done on the evening to make your experience more pleasurable. Food was delicious. (We all went for the sunday dinner) beef melted in your mouth and creamed leaks was amazing. Portion sizes are good if you have a big appitite
