Welcome to The Thornhill Arms located within the picturesque village of Rushton, Northamptonshire.

Conveniently located between Corby & Kettering and a stones throw from Market Harborough.

Independent family owned pub & restaurant, we strive to make you feel relaxed and unwind while within our bar, dining rooms or beautiful garden..
All our food is home cooked using fresh ingredients weather it be a monumental homemade burger or traditional Cod & Chips to a Club Sandwich we have something for everyone’s tastes.

A warm welcome awaits parties large and small.

We aim to offer tasty, whole-hearted meals to eat in any of our dining rooms, bar or garden overlooking the beautiful countryside.

Lovely pub which has been very tastefully redecorated; it's a great place to meet with friends, and the number of different dining/bar areas means that it doesn't feel too busy or get too noisy. The food was very tasty, but presentation was a little basic, especially the desserts. The menu is what you would expect from a good quality pub food offering, but it would be nice to have had the option of something a little healthy - the only salad option was a side salad, but the food we did have was very nice, and sensible portion sizes! The two waiting staff were very engaging and friendly. They worked hard, and must walk miles as the kitchen seems to be some way away from the dining areas! Our only criticism here was that they seemed completely unwilling to come and take our money so we had to go and find them! I've periodically visited this pub over the past 25 years, and I'd definitely keep going back.

The carvery was really good. Staff are very friendly. And the place itself was very nice and quiet.

Food was ok but not exceptionally hot and considering it was 12.30ish Service was very slow even though not particularly busy Went to pay and waited ages not enough staff on for the bar/payment and serving customers at table Quite disappointed .

Sadly we found our meal very disappointing we did not complain at the time as we were with family who had treated us for a birthday. The food was not of a good standard or portion size considering the average price of £15 for main course. However our waiter was very helpful and the pub is very nice we will return but unfortunately not to eat.

The meat was very fatty and very tough. The gravy was flavourless and the broccoli was not good

Carvery was excellent. A little disappointed in Dessert menu as majority was chocolate based. Would have expected apple pie/crumble sort of pudding to be included but sadly not on this occasion.

The buttermilk chicken and chorizo were not too good, the halloumi fries were very nice. For mains the steak and ale pie was really good but the nacho chicken burger was burnt, very dry and not enough elements to constitute a salad in the bun. We didn't stay for dessert.

Absolutely love my time here. Food, staff and atmosphere are wonderful. Loved meeting Olivia today who was a breathe of fresh air, spoke to my mum with dementia patiently and did not rush her with her decisions, thank you! 😊 Look forward very much to our next visit soon.
