   I'd not visited this pub since Covid so it was good to see it thriving. A really good Sunday roast with a generous portion of meats and a wide selection of veg. The beer was good (Fullers Grand Slam) and although I prefer my wife's apple crumble this was pretty good too. Good value - 2 roast lunches, 1 dessert, 2 pints of beer and a lime and tonic came to £48 Thoroughly recommend this pub and will return.

   Had a lovely evening. Food was lovely, the waitress couldn't have done more. Lovely food, company and service.

   Excellent evening as usual. Nice atmosphere, good food and great service. Room was rather cold.

   Lovely hot and tasty food. Service good, but could have been faster to clear tables. Looking forward to our next visit

   lovely food, good value, lots of choice. plenty of space and not rushed- enjoyable experience would definitely go back

    It was a very cold day, and even though there was a fire the room felt cold. Several diners kept their coats on as they ate. The restaurant was busy, and it took 40 minutes to be served the first course, which turned out to be lukewarm. There was another half hour wait between the empty plates from the starters being collected, and being called to the Carvery. After that delay it was surprising to find that some of the dishes of veg were nearly empty, and we had to wait for a few minutes until more was brought out. In the meantime the plates with the cut meat and yorkshires on were put on top of the counter. Although there were heat lamps, the food on the plates had got quite cool by the time the veg and potatoes were available to be added. The food was good quality, but having nearly cold meat and yorkshires with hot veg wasn’t the best experience. We’ve been before and had a lovely meal, but this was disappointing.
