Sunday Lunch - post summer rush. Overall disappointing. Devon Crab sandwich £13 was very poor - ultra blended with mayo & spring onions. No texture and could have been from a jar for it's poor quality (think Shiphams). Vietnamese Chicken curry - 3 miniscule pieces of Chicken and the smallest portion of rice ever - not bad for £19! Kids menu - cheapest sausages ever.... Bland, undercooked together with a few oven chips. £8.50. No drink, desert or anything. Disappointing, over priced and won't be coming back.

Greeted warmly shown to table then our server was prompt warm and funny. He made us all feel very relaxed and helped with recommendations. Overall excellent service and food was excellent too.

Good choice on the menu, food very tasty, prices similar to most pubs, service attentive. Only negative didn't like being on the table adjoining the busy staff stations.

This is my favourite pub of all time, the staff are awesome, the food is incredible and it’s very reasonable! There is always a great atmosphere no matter what time of year you go! I’m in Croyde 2-3 times a year and I always book for food! There is really nothing I can fault about this place! Absolutely love it here ❤️

The Thatch nachos cannot be beaten. Loaded to the max and delicious. My husband had the lobster from the specials board and said he could have eaten two!! We also had steaks, ribs and pasta dishes from the menu during this years trip- all amazing. Never had a bad meal and we’ve been visiting for over 20 years. We visit The Thatch often when we stay in Croyde as their gluten free options are varied and good ( I have intolerance) but only slight grumble is they need a dessert option other than ice cream!! We find the staff so welcoming and efficient, the ambiance is always lively in the evenings and it’s advisable to book in advance as they get really busy especially during school holidays. The dishes are great value for money and they don’t scrimp on portion sizes. It’s our favourite restaurant to eat in when we go to Croyde.
