All of our bar tables and outside areas are dog friendly too. Customers can help themselves to whatever is available as no bookings are taken for these tables.

Wow, we had a great evening. Fabulous food. Highly recommend the lamb flatbread! The service was fantastic as well as a great location.

We went as a table of 11, all of our meals were great! I particularly enjoyed my potted crab starter. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Some nice beers on tap. The restaurant was full so pleased we'd booked in advance. We will definitely return next time we are in Croyde!

As always, a great meal at the Thatch. Good quality food. Plenty of choice for drinks. Never disappoints!

Really good food - which is a rare thing for a large pub with an extensive menu. Good service too - great value for money.

Warm friendly and fast service, food was well prepared with good portion sizes, certainly value for money. We will definitely return on our next visit to Croyde.

Food was average at best considering the quality around the area have to say I was pretty disappointed.

We arrived for dinner at 5:30, as we’ve got two little ones so wanted to have dinner early. When we arrived we asked for a high chair for our 11month old. We were shown our table, a chair taken away for the high chair and then left. No high chair brought over to us, not even really an acknowledgement that we were even there for at least 15 minutes. Given it was also 5:30, our part of the restaurant was pretty quiet and there looked to be loads of staff on. After a while I got up and found the high chairs and grabbed one myself, as my little one was getting grumpy and wanting food. After 15-20 mins, finally someone approached to take our food and drink order. The food was alright, the fish and chips was pretty good and the kids food looked alright. However when it came to us wanting to order dessert, that took another 15 minutes of waiting. Now, just to put it out there, I know restaurants can get busy and sometimes it might take a little wait until you get served, patience is a virtue. However we kept seeing the waitstaff standing around and chatting to each other, or getting each other drinks, and just generally looking like they didn’t have much to do. So it became very annoying, very quickly, having to wait so long for someone to simply walk over and check in. Finally when we ordered dessert, the strawberry cheesecake I was served was horrendous. It was so bland, and had 0 taste to it. For £8.50 it was really only worth £3, and that was because the icecream was nice and the biscuit base was alright. All in all, I would not recommend eating here on a weekend evening. Especially for the price of the bill at the end, which I ended up just going to the counter to pay as I couldn’t be bothered to wait another 15 minutes for the staff to approach, it just wasn’t worth it. Cute pub, terrible service.
