All of our bar tables and outside areas are dog friendly too. Customers can help themselves to whatever is available as no bookings are taken for these tables.

Too many dogs in the restaurant. The table opposite had 4 dogs and the table just behind had 2 dogs , I then saw a customer empty the dogs water bowl into an empty wine glass on an adjacent table , very hygienic indeed ! 2 of the 4 dogs at the table opposite sat on their owners knees at the dining table. Is this now acceptable behaviour in a public restaurant? I suggest that the Thatch needs to lay down some clear ground rules for the dog owners. The owners are the badly behaved ones not the dogs !

The Ham for the Ham eggs and chips was very poor. I expected some nice ham but it was like cheap ham from a supermarket.

We were a party of four with three dogs. We were allocated a large table in a corner position with plenty of room for the dogs. I had the full rack of ribs and it was seriously the best ribs I've ever had, by far, and I frequently order ribs. My brother had a blue cheese burger and said it was the best burger he'd ever had. The other mains were the lasagna and the vegetarian burger. All the food and the service was excellent

We’ve loved the Thatch in recent years - such a great neighbourhood pub. But unfortunately last night the food was quite a bit below what we’ve come to expect, especially since the prices have gone up.

Excellent food as always. Staff went that extra mile to help with a birthday celebration. Highly recommend

The portions are huge and the food is superb. I’ve been coming here for 40 years since I was 18 and I can honestly say I’ve always had the best food and experience. Many many happy memories made here. I look forward to coming every year and now it’s a favourite for my 3 boys - keeping the support for this top place going. Croyde would not be the same without it.

Arrived early and accommodated, fast drinks order but no water 😡. Good food but a little more refinement required.😊

Poor service waiting over 30 minutes for our booked table . This was booked well in advance for a birthday meal at 7.00. Didn't get our main course unil 8.45 !!!.
