Views of the Pacific Ocean and Waikiki's skyline set the scene for our open-air restaurant sitting high on the eighth floor of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach.

Breakfast at the Terrace: Enjoy reimagined breakfast favorites, specialty craft cocktails, or house-made juices.

The Terrace Waikiki: Join us in the evening for a refined a la carte dining experience with fresh seafood, steak, caviar, and bar bites, all set against the same elegant ambiance, complete with live piano music that has made this space a beloved destination.

    The food was pretty good, but presentation was a little off. For example, there was no napkin or small plate to manage the blinis and caviar. The hard boiled egg went everywhere ( maybe sliced not crumbled would work better)! The beet salad was delicious, but served in a small bowl so it was spilling out everywhere! Making it very difficult to eat. And, the chicken and foi gras dish looked like a rather grey unappetizing blancmange, and was not really that good The waiting staff were a little all over the shop in terms of skills and knowledge. It was extremely off putting to have one particular server reaching across in front of me. They should have been trained better than that. While it was a pleasant atmosphere, it was ruined by the two drunk people screeching at the next end table. Obviously, that is out of the hands of the restaurant, but it did spoil the carefully crafted ambiance. It was however a nice evening all in all, and pretty good value all things considered.

    Amazing French cuisine with a modern twist. We stated with a glass of Dom Perignon and Taittinger ‘comtes de Champagne.’ My wife and I started with a fruits de mer course. The caviar and oysters were delightful. Then we moved on to Maui venizen tartare and crispy frogs legs Provencale. For the second course, she had the smoked Kona kanpachi and enjoyed the A5 Japanese waygu beef with a wonderful bordelaise. For the dessert course, we shared an order of the gateau ispahan and Basque cheesecake. We paired the food with a bottle of 2020 Von Winning, “Forster Kirchenstuck” Riesling from Pfalz, Germany. Terrific vintage and wine. The service was exceptional - knowledgeable and attentive.

    Food needs a lot of attention. It is not French but is presented as French Fusion. This restaurant needs to align its quality of culinary cuisine with everything else that it stands for since the prices are on a higher end and customers expect to see quality and an understanding of French cuisine. Their customer service however is excellent as well as the atmosphere.

    Service was amazing and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Our server gave us good recommendations on drinks and food.

    Everything was beautiful: weather, view, piano music and food service. Food was interesting and delicious. The only area they could improve would be the dessert selection. The kulolo crunch and the basque cheesecake were both bland. Enjoyed the coconut ice cream and fruit. The desserts at Dean & Deluca are way better. Other than that, it was a lovely experience.
