Such a cute and quirky afternoon tea. Everything was beautiful and delicious. Way too much food for two people and you really need a sweet tooth to fully enjoy it. Would definitely recommend it!

Disappointing vegan afternoon tea experience. The menu stated they served vegan clotted cream with the scones. They didn't, it was Violife cream cheese which is savoury. The kitchen didn't have any cream alternative so we had to go without. We wouldn't have booked it if we had known. There are other good vegan afternoon teas for a much more reasonable price. Also, the Den was closed so we had to go to the main dining area which was empty with no atmosphere.

I met friends for the tea service in the Den and had a wonderful experience. The staff, Monica, was lovely. She was attentive and answered our questions. Great assortment of teas and goodies to eat. We had two vegans in the group and the vegan tea services was yummy. The art and atmosphere was delightful.

Fabulous afternoon tea experience. The attention to detail on preparing the menu and showcasing all the properties’ details was outstanding!!

We went for my wife’s birthday, the afternoon tea was exceptional. The food beautifully prepared and tasted fabulous. With great service as well. There were also some unusual tea blends to have with it, not just the usual breakfast tea. All in all very good, would recommend, the only down side was the loud music being played in the foyer, which intruded on the tea lounge.

Before booking I had emailed the hotel to make sure that the traditional afternoon tea (as shown on their website) was still available, not the new tea and tales version. I was told if I made a note when booking that this would be fine, which I did. On arrival at the hotel at the appointed time no staff were in the vicinity, after waiting I went to reception and someone was summoned. I asked them if we could have the traditional afternoon tea and was told this was not available. The tea and tales is vastly overpriced, with the compulsory service charge coming in at £130 for tea for two with no alcohol. In retrospect I wish I had gone to browns restaurant as cross the road where a better tea and experience can be had for around half the price!

The food was absolutely amazing but I was a little disappointed by the ambience. There was one particular group of business people playing promotional media on a laptop for all in the Den to hear. This is definitely not becoming of a serene and relaxing environment.
