The Terrace is Chef John Fraser's American brasserie located in The Times Square EDITION. From theatergoers and power meetings to dinner parties and big brunches, our all-seasons garden restaurant offers an unexpected oasis for locals and tourists alike, nestled just steps away from New York City's most iconic intersection. The seasonal menu marries the innovation of contemporary cooking with a respect for American culinary traditions, all while emphasizing locally sourced ingredients from regional farmers and purveyors. Brasserie classics share space with a wide variety of vegetable-forward offerings, a signature cooking style of Chef Fraser's.

We are located on the 9th floor of The Times Square EDITION, entrance on the north side of 47th Street just east of 7th Avenue.

First time dining at The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens. We choose this restaurant based on a write up In Town and Country that this was one of the best restaurants to dine at after seeing a Broadway show and it did not disappoint. The interior design is stunning. The hostess greeted us upon our early arrival and immediately seated us. Our servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and everything that was recommended was delicious. The burrata appetizer was so flavorful and definitely set the tone for the rest of our dinner. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and they even surprised us with a delicious dessert with a candle to honor her. We will definitely be back.

Restaurant is gorgeous with very cheap comfortable seating. Food was mediocre at best. I had the pancakes with strawberries. Pancakes were mediocre and strawberries were minimal and not ripe. For the price, should have been much better.

This restaurant is a lovely oasis of peace and quiet in a very hectic Times Square. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. The wait staff at out table was exceptional. The restaurant itself is quite lovely. The quality of the food was excellent and nicely presented. I felt the cocktails in general were over priced but they were well made and excellent. The quiet atmosphere adds to the ambiance of this restaurant and we definitely will return in the future. We finished early for our show so we opted to have after dinner drinks and we sat on the outside terrace until we were ready to leave for the theater. Although there was no drink service out there , the server did carry our drinks outside for us and said we were welcome to sit out there as long as we needed to. It was a nice touch that ended a great meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We ended up going to the outdoor terrace on the tenth floor as the restaurant’s terrace on 9 was closed. Great cocktails and small plates. Nice ambiance and good service. Hope to return there.

Such a pretty restaurant, located in a most convenient spot for Broadway shows, priced quite moderately for New York City, with food that was pretty good. The people who work there are lovely, attentive and pleasant. The ambience and decor make the place! So romantic. Make a reservation. They’re located on the 9th floor of the Edition Hotel.
