The Tent (at the end of the universe) is the newest venture from Chef John Javier. The restaurant serves a weekly-changing menu playing on Middle Eastern techniques and flavours, featuring dishes such as suckling lamb or mushroom shish, dairy cow rib with ras el hanout and saganaki cheese with honey, pomegranate molasses, parsley and pistachio. These modern representations of traditional Middle Eastern dishes are served in The Tent's intimate concept dining room, where diners are joined by seated DJs playing over a world-class soundsystem. On Wednesdays, The Tent is home to a live band playing world music. The restaurant also hosts a Sunday Funday each week, during which guests can experience 17 Little Portland Street's otherwise private downstairs club.

Very unique experience. The food combination and presentation was very interesting but ok tasting. Interior design was amazing.

Such bad value. Serving a £12 dip with no bread, to find out one piece of bread was £8. One small lam skewer was £10 and the. ‘Mains’ were either tiny or crazy expensive. Shame because the decor is cool, and the food was interesting. Not a comfy restaurant tho. Tables are tiny, restaurant is bery dsrk and loud.

I booked the Jazz Experience for my girlfriend and I - which we were very much looking forward to - a month in advance of the reservation date paying £60 for the pleasure. It was then cancelled at 9pm the night before and I am yet to receive a refund for the booking.

It’s a cool little venue but style over substance for us. Food wasn’t great, cocktail also felt pre-made. Won’t go back again with the price.

Ambience is definitely nice. Good portions ridiculously small for the price you pay. Good taste nice but nothing crazy. Cocktails and wine expensive for the amount they serve, beer brought to the table in a can. Not much choice in dessert.

Had a great meal. Such a cool looking restaurant with stars on the ceiling and a dj playing through dinner! The pollock dish was our favourite. Thank you Sam for the recommendations
