Lunch served Monday - Saturday, 12noon – 4.45pm
Afternoon Tea served Wednesday - Saturday, 2.45pm – 4.30pm. Bookings are required to be made within 48 hours of your reservation
À la Carte Dining: Daily from 5pm
Sunday Lunch: from 12 noon

Our bar and snug open daily offer a great spot for coffee, tea, drinks, and bar snacks. Well-behaved four-legged friends are welcome in our bar until 7 PM

Say hello to Afternoon Tea at The Tempus! (Hey Parents, we are also offering a Children's Afternoon Tea, treat your little munchkins for £19.95, just let us know how many children in the party in the notes!!!!) Indulge in a mouth-watering selection of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and a delicious array of miniature cakes and pastries. However we do require 48 hours notice as everything is prepared on the day for you. Our brand-new menu has been carefully designed by our very own pastry chef, Catherine Smith, using freshly sourced ingredients from Northumberland and the Borders. Need we say more? Afternoon Tea will be served every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Pre-booking is required 48hrs before.

Had a lovely evening meal at The Tempus. Food was outstanding, definitely recommend the sticky toffee pudding! Service was attentive and friendly and the place felt warm and modern.

Bright relaxed smart restaurant Attentive staff with excellent knowledge of the food Dealt admirably with my wife’s garlic allergy Excellent imaginative starters ( a scallop dish and a kipper / Northumberland croquets ), perfect roasts with perfectly cooked potatoes and vegetables, lovely large portions Beautiful desert choices….excellent chocolate tart with blood orange sorbet Overall faultless Sunday lunch

Lovely setting, you have certainly made it a beautiful venue. Staff Lovely and friendly and efficient. Welcomed our dog, and provided a water bowl ready at our table. Our only negative was the food was a bit bland, my husband ordered fish and chips, and I ordered the shepherd's pie. We thought they came with triple cooked chips, but they were just plain pale chips. The curry sauce was too spicy and hot. Puddings were great 👍 We might have ordered the steak, but chips weren't included, so made it quite expensive! All in all a good experience, will definitely come back. Thank you 😊

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. Everything home made and delicious. Impeccable service. Fabulous soft furnishings and decor, creating a lovely ambience. Dog friendly too = excellent bonus (dogs allowed to 7pm) Highly recommend . Thank you to all of the staff 😋

A lovely meal in a lovely venue. We had a wait a bit for our main course but I like that, tells me they cook from scratch!

Enjoyed a very good lunch. There was a little problem but this was resolved quickly and efficiently. This is a beautiful restaurant with first class service.
