Welcome to our British restaurant and pub, with gardens, in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall, between Truro and Newquay. We offer sustainable British pub food, with a luxury approach. It’s a simple offering but really showcases the best of produce from in and around Cornwall. Our Sunday lunch is perfect to come and enjoy with your friends and family (and your dogs are more than welcome too!).

Best Sunday lunch for ages. Service was friendly not as polished as it should be at this level. Always apprehensive about going to a restaurant on Sunday evening when it’s still doing a Sunday service, but the food at the Tartan Fox was perfection. Beautiful roast beef, perfect potatoes and cauliflower cheese was amazing.

So far I’ve only sampled the Sunday lunch menu, very tasty and plentiful it was too

Beautiful pub, with amazing food and friendly staff. Had a lovely evening at the Tartan Fox with my partner for a special occasion. The food was delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful. It is a must do if you are in the area. The staff also found out we were also visiting the sister restaurant in St Ives and ensured that was extra special as well. Can not thank them enough and will be back.

We loved our visit to Tartan Fox, we planned our holiday to include a visit here and were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming amd knowledgeable regarding any questions we had relating to the menu and we both loved our 3 courses. The atmosphere made it feel more relaxed than a fine dining experience however the food was as good as anything we've ever had. We found the prices reasonable and we will definitely return next year when we are back in Cornwall.

We were a table of 4 with a dog. The staff were great and the food fabulous. This is definitely a place we will visit again, soon!

If you are looking for a generic pub chain evening out this is the place for you - the whole place is unfortunately a dull corporate make over with no individuality or style - the food looked and tasted like it was bought in and could be prepared by any basic kitchen team with access to a microwave and reheating oven without any need for a chef..my burger was so greasy and drowned in cheap mayonnaise I felt ill for 24 hours after eating it - I wish I’d returned it to the kitchen. The prices are eye watering for this level of taste and quality. If Adam Handling looked at this menu it was in a dark room without his glasses. The whole experience left me disappointed, cross and feeling ripped off. You’ve been warned.

Our first visit to the Tartan Fox and it was a very good one. We will definitely return. The Lobster Tart was a star as was the smoked port chop. Very friendly and attentive service too. Mike R.

Service was wonderful, price point spot on for what you get, experience and menu is wonderful. A must visit for a special occasion or a yummy snack after a long winter walk.

Amazing place to eat. The food was outstanding, I had Hake and my partner had Venison. The service was equally as good, couldn't fault any of them. So polite and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxing and I loved the decor. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.
