The Tartan Fox by Adam Handling

Welcome to our British restaurant and pub, with gardens, in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall, between Truro and Newquay. We offer sustainable British pub food, with a luxury approach. It’s a simple offering but really showcases the best of produce from in and around Cornwall. Our Sunday lunch is perfect to come and enjoy with your friends and family (and your dogs are more than welcome too!).

    Again enjoyed a great meal at the TF. Loin of Venison was particularly delicious. Service was polite and attentive- couldn’t be faulted. Porthleven pale ale on tap was much appreciated.

    From the time we arrived the meal was made to feel special. Lovely table with distance between us and the nearest one. Menu choices were brilliant. Food was cooked superbly. We were celebrating our son and his girlfriend 30th birthdays and this was remembered when we arrived. Our dog was also made to feel special. The deserts were not as good as the previous courses but still good. We will definitely return. Thank you Adam and your team.

    As anticipated from Adam Handling this new venture is excellent. With attention to detail and the food at the forefront. The staff in his restaurants are of the highest quality and always make you feel special.

    Best Sunday lunch for ages. Service was friendly not as polished as it should be at this level. Always apprehensive about going to a restaurant on Sunday evening when it’s still doing a Sunday service, but the food at the Tartan Fox was perfection. Beautiful roast beef, perfect potatoes and cauliflower cheese was amazing.

    So far I’ve only sampled the Sunday lunch menu, very tasty and plentiful it was too

    Beautiful pub, with amazing food and friendly staff. Had a lovely evening at the Tartan Fox with my partner for a special occasion. The food was delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful. It is a must do if you are in the area. The staff also found out we were also visiting the sister restaurant in St Ives and ensured that was extra special as well. Can not thank them enough and will be back.

    We loved our visit to Tartan Fox, we planned our holiday to include a visit here and were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming amd knowledgeable regarding any questions we had relating to the menu and we both loved our 3 courses. The atmosphere made it feel more relaxed than a fine dining experience however the food was as good as anything we've ever had. We found the prices reasonable and we will definitely return next year when we are back in Cornwall.

    We were a table of 4 with a dog. The staff were great and the food fabulous. This is definitely a place we will visit again, soon!
