Welcome to our British restaurant and pub, with gardens, in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall, between Truro and Newquay. We offer sustainable British pub food, with a luxury approach. It’s a simple offering but really showcases the best of produce from in and around Cornwall. Our Sunday lunch is perfect to come and enjoy with your friends and family (and your dogs are more than welcome too!).

Outstanding Food! Restaurant is a relaxed setting, beautifully decorated, staff are friendly, helpful & informative. The food was all beyond incredible, absolute taste sensation.

We booked online which was a fairly simple process. We only waited a few minutes to be seated. The table layout was stunning and were offered drinks straight away. The friendly staff took time to explain the menu and had clearly tried it themselves. We ordered cheese donuts which were spectacular, the starters were the haggis scotch egg and lobster tart which both exceeded expectation. For main we had the schnitzel with a side of chips and the portion size was good. Our deserts were the trifle and the battered mars bar which were a perfect end to our meal. The team checked in on us regularly but it was never overbearing and their friendly relaxed manner made it a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend.

Really impressive first visit. Innovative twists on all the courses - enough to make them interesting without being gimmicky. Outstanding pie option - recommended. Nice environment and enthusiastic, friendly service from Dave. Came across as an outfit that care a lot about what they do. Will be back.

From the lovely scent on entering through the main door, to the service, food presentation and quality this was a lovely experience. Also the special touches for anniversaries and birthday’s is thoughtful. The deep fried mars bar didn’t disappoint either.

Absolutely outstanding meal tonight. Perfectly cooked sirloins with girolle mushrooms. We had Caesar salads, fries and sauces to go with the steaks all were fabulous. The soft serve is incredible for dessert too! Great service and we will be back. Thank you guys. We really enjoyed our anniversary meal

Oh dear. We were looking forward to trying a new venue, but as soon as we opened the car door we were assulted by the music. My goodness, does it have to be so loud? It did not get quieter in the pub, so had to suffer the sound of someone else's choice of noise all evening, even though we asked it to be turned down. On to the food - well, someone clearly made too much apple puree as it seemed appear on every plate. The burrata starter was lovely. The roast pork was nice, but the gravy overly salty. The roast potatoes were crispy, but hard, nice flavour though. The chocolate and cherries was a good dessert, as was the trifle. However, the blackcurrant ice cream, was actually vanilla ice cream with blackcurrants over it.

This was our second visit and we were very pleased with our visit. The meal was very impressive although the cauliflower cheese was a bit mushy but everything else was excellent. As with our previous visit the service was second to none. Will will return.
