Welcome to our British restaurant and pub, with gardens, in the picturesque countryside of Cornwall, between Truro and Newquay. We offer sustainable British pub food, with a luxury approach. It’s a simple offering but really showcases the best of produce from in and around Cornwall. Our Sunday lunch is perfect to come and enjoy with your friends and family (and your dogs are more than welcome too!).

Amazing quality food in a cozy atmosphere. A place to definitely go back. Only suggestion I would have is to have a sommelier based on the expense of the wine. It was delicious but for the price needs extra service. Overall loved it

Restaurant location, decor and layout is fabulous with a great ambience. The service is excellent and all the waiters are very knowledgeable about both the drinks and food on offer. The lobster tart was excellent, with a hint of spice and the cheese doughnut tasted great, but would have liked it warmer. The pork, roast potatoes and vegetables especially the cauliflower cheese were superb. My husband enjoyed the hake, but didn’t feel the roast potatoes/ vegetables really complement his dish. We had the mars bar dessert, as I have been wanting to try this for sometime - it was good and enjoyed the ice-cream and the fudge pieces, but don’t think it was really a dessert for me. Coffee was excellent and served in a lovely mug. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Best Sunday roast we’ve had in a long time. Service was delightful. Overall a wonderful experience and we will definitely return.

The snacks, starters and mains were very good. The desserts were disappointing - the egg custard tart came with machine made soft ice cream rather than the rum ice cream stated on the menu. The deep fried mars bar tasted slightly burnt suggesting that perhaps the oil was old? We were disappointed that our first choice of wine which was the cheapest was not available although we were given the next bottle up for the same price. The pie choice given by our server ran out so we had to settle for another pie which wasn’t too great - the first choice sounded delicious. The vegetables were very good.

Food was delicious, although fish and chips were disappointing. Staff were superb. Some less expensive wines would be a great addition to attract regular visits from locals.

Our second visit and it equalled the first. Everything was well presented by attentive friendly staff.

Such a beautiful setting as you walk up to the front door. Staff were friendly and inviting, we had some lovely conversations with the young man who served us. He went above and beyond to make our experience a fabulous one. The food was outstanding. We had snacks of Bon Bon’s prawns and bread, then onto our mains of steak, hake and the shellfish linguine. All delicious!! Finished off by the kings trifle!! I sampled the garden spritz cocktail which was Devine. An amazing experience we can’t wait to return.
