Welcome to The Tarratine. We focus on providing an elegant yet approachable experience for our community. Created with skill and passion, the menu features an exciting array of seafood, streak, brunch foods, and signature items from our Executive Chef and his culinary team. This is within our historic gentlemen's social club, built-in 1907. Our spacious venue allows for individual experiences in various spaces, including our rooftop terrace. The Tarratine provides a variety of spirits, cocktails, local brews on tap, and an approachable wine list.

Parties of 12 - 18 guests will be offered a reduced restaurant menu.
Parties with 19+ guests, please call us at 207-992-4090, and someone will love to talk to you about your special night.
We allow you to bring in a cake from state-licensed bakeries; a $5 per person cutting fee will be added to the final bill.

Due to the historic nature of the building, our upper levels are not handicap accessible.

Parking details
Park Street is a one way street that has parking on both sides, there is often parking available in front of the building. We have private parking lot at the corner of Penobscot and Park with a sign at the entrance. City Hall allows us to use their parking after hours on Harlow Street and Center Street, it is a short walk up the hill.
Public transit
Public Bus stops up the street from the Restaurant.
Animation
The Tarratine offers a game room for our dinner guests which includes billiards, pinball, table tennis, shuffle board, foosball, and skittle ball. We also offer cribbage boards and playing cards. Our roof top deck is a great place to meet before or after dinner to enjoy the views of Bangor.

Historical building, prices moderately priced for fine dining. Chicken meal was very good.

Nice venue. Slow to start service picked up and ended pleasant and well. Out of draft local craft beers which was online menu and one of the reasons we chose the restaurant. A special of the day peach , tomato, buratta, and crostini was very good. The salmon on peas and scallops with risotto was good. The tempeh entree and the etouffee were very salty.

Hi Tom, I am sorry for the slow start to service and the draft debacle. We have had problems with our draft beer and after a few different technicians we are back online. I hope that you were offered the local craft beers that we have bottled and canned. I will share the comments that you have given about the salty Temeh and Etouffee. Lovely restaurant in an historic building. Local crab cakes were well seared and flaky and the oysters were plump and very fresh. The Salmon and Peas dish was delicious. The local salmon was tender and succulent. Drinks were reasonably priced, with the spicy “Bucket Brigade” a fun libation. Service was excellent, with a team approach.

If you're looking for a different experience the Tarratine is an excellent place. You can be comfortable dressing up or in jeans. The food is delicious and well prepared. The summer menu was just changed to an Autumn and we look forward to trying them all. There is a nice wine menu and a bar for mixed drinks. Enjoy!

Excellent meal. Arrived early. Not a problem. As usual beautiful setting. Drinks and appetizers all delicious. I had the pear martini, delicious. Best halibut I’ve had, sauce and pearl onions so yummy! Waitress was great, friendly but not intrusive.

Really excellent all around. Highly recommended. Waitress was very attentive. Even with a large group that came in, food still arrived in a timely manner. Only thing was they did run out of the apple crumb cake, but that will give me a reason to return.
