Established in 1985, and located on Raglan Street, just off Princess Square in the heart of Harrogate, The Tannin Level is one of Harrogate's best loved and most renowned restaurants. Known for its wines (its name is a wine term after all!) as well as its food, it has garnered an enviable reputation amongst the towns sophisticated 'foodies'. The Tannin Level has a certain style and an unmistakable elegance, and its many original features combine to create the unique Tannin Level ambience.
The food is modern British with a Tannin Level twist, utilising only the very best seasonal ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. As you might expect, all our food is freshly prepared by our chefs, which also means that if you have any special requirements, we can usually oblige. We look forward to welcoming you to the Tannin Level!

A return visit to the Tannin Level...to sample the Christmas lunch...yet again Tannin level delivers. Beautifully presented and delicious food. A lovely atmosphere and the staff wonderfully attentive and engaging. Whilst all the food here is wonderful... I managed a sweet today... the Milk and Honey... Wow... this so works.. Thanks again Tannin Level.

Service Food and Atmosphere good. Things are getting a little tired, tables toilets etc. just needs a bit more attention to detail

Just had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Tannin Level. It was our first visit. The food was excellent - even for a Sunday lunch menu there was plenty of choice for starters, mains and dessert - and there were a lot of gluten free choices. The staff were lovely. Good choice of wine too. Loved the surroundings - it felt cosy but at the same time there was plenty of space. We'll definitely be back. Many thanks for a lovely afternoon.

Amazing food and service - the Ox Cheek was melt-in-the-mouth and the cod loin was exceptional! Highly recommend!

This restaurant is obviously very popular which speaks volumes for the place and its food, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I personally found it very noisy and have hearing problems so struggled to hear properly so bear this in mind if you too suffer like me.

We chose from the midweek menu. Food was excellent service attentive and good value. Great choice of veg to have with mains (fish pie was great) and great local Vanillis ( best ice cream on planet!) with the choc mousse. Great pre cinema destination
