The Wensleydale Hotel & Tack Room Restaurant is ideally located on the Market Place of the town of Middleham.
Booking for Dinner or Sunday Lunch is essential.

We welcome dogs in the Bar or in our Private Dining Room, which can accommodate up to 16 on one table.

    We have been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it- dog friendly- so a great bonus! This time we went on our own - it was very quiet midweek but food and service were top notch. Will definitely eat there every time we visit Middleham.🥰 🐎

    We had Sunday lunch. The pork was very tasty and tender with a nice selection of vegetables and the sea bream was excellent with lovely fresh samphire and delicious sauce.

    Very welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Super, unfussy bistro food. Very tasty. It's very hard to find a restaurant locally that isn't plain meat and potatoes. We were delighted to find the tack room. We are already planning our next trip. A perfect chocolate fondant.. It was £110 for two, Three courses, three glasses of wine..

    We have had a wonderful experience at the Tack Room in Middleham this week, where we have eaten several times. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly with excellent service. The food is fantastic and served quickly. Good value for money and highly recommended

    We had the most fabulous Christmas Eve with Rui - he is the perfect host - brilliant wine, outstanding food and his warm and friendly welcome makes it perfect for all - we thoroughly recommend this to anyone who likes great service, beautiful white wine and exceptional food . Great value with sincerity and a true belief that good food brings the best evenings out!!! Thankyou - Neil & Caroline

    Didn’t have a great welcome , we were the only table occupied in the dining room, we asked for a bottle of red which he plonked on the table for us to open and it was cold , food was delicious .

    Took my elderly parents to the Tack Room after a previous enjoyable experience. We all thought the Sunday Lunch was fantastic and the service second to none. The choice was excellent and the food was spot on. The only slight downside was a group of other patrons that spoke over loudly that we found a little intrusive. Not the establishment's fault but the acoustics of the room didn't help. Will definitely return.
