Fine dining in a historic brick-and-wood setting with soaring ceilings and windows. Featuring hand-cut USDA prime and dry-aged steaks selected just for us. Poultry, fish, game and vegetarian dishes are offered alongside a full bar serving classic and contemporary cocktails. Enjoy the cozy ambiance of our lounge with fireplace and try out our lounge plates on Lounge Thursday, where most of our lounge offerings are $10! An a la carte menu is also offered. Live piano accompaniment Tuesday through Saturday evenings, with jazz bands performing on Wednesdays.

We decided on Sycamore Restaurant for our Anniversary and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere, staff, piano music and ofcourse the food were FIVE STARS. Shout out to our waiter Handsome whom was very knowledgeable, friendly and always attentive. To the Chief and kitchen the food and presentation were 10 Stars and when we didn't think it could get any better, Handsome presented us with a Anniversary Card signed by the staff, not a chart to measure this by, you folks made a night my wife and I will never forget. Thanks again for everything, we will be back soon!

The ambience at THE SYCAMORE at Chatham Mills is fantastic. The staff is extremely attentive. The live music is wonderful. The food is well prepared. The prices are high but fitting with the whole experience. I just wish they had good bread like Green Valley Grill in Greensboro, and I wish they had MASHED POTATOES as an alternative to the various types of rice / risoto accompaniments. Deserts are very good. Our guest who required GLUTEN FREE due to Celiac Disease got sick from the risoto which was listed on the Gluten Free Menu ... it obviously was not. It's one of those food items that is hard to guarantee being Gluten Free. The location in Pittsboro, NC, means a drive of about an hour to get there from the larger population centers of the state, so for many people who would like to go more often that is perhaps difficult given the long drive over & back. BUT ... you'll definitely be glad you went!

We went on a Wednesday jazz night. The band was excellent, as was the decor and food. We ate from a less expensive bar menu. The salad was spectacular.

In a beautiful restored warehouse space, the ambience (including a pianist playing old standards) was lovely. The food was very good—the olive oil-brushed bruschetta serve with the steak tartare was memorably smoky, and the entrees were lovely to behold and included a wonderful range of flavors. The service could improve, however—the waitstaff was accommodating but inexperienced and when the tables filled out, we waited 15 minutes for our check and another 15 to pay because we could not catch the server’s attention.

We have been to The Sycamore many times and have never been disappointed. Enjoy having a nice upscale restaurant in Pittsboro

The Sycamore has become our go-to restaurant for a good dinner at a fair price. We love the ambiance, decor, and the wonderful pianist! The food is great too! I am especially fond of the duck breast,

Always a good meal, and good service. We had the duck, rib eye, and trout. All we're excellent. Handsome, the waiter was phenomenal.

This is a charming, locally owned upscale restaurant specializing in beef. The beef alternatives are imaginative -- Amberjack, ostrich, duck, trout. Not the standard chicken and salmon. Sauces are tasty, sides are ample for sharing. Portions are large enough to share on most large plates. Good cocktails and wine selection. Only complaint is that with the hard surfaces (brick wall, wood floors) the live piano is a bit loud. On our previous visit, I had the BEST tenderloin steak I've ever eaten. The side of mushrooms was extraordinary. And the appetizer heirloom tomatoes and burrata on grilled bread is splendid. The decor is charming. It's pricey but a wonderful place for special occasions.
