Indulge with our regular FULL Dinner Menu as well a fabulous Surf n' Turf three course meal Feb. 14, 15, and 16th. Starter Soup or Salad, your choice of Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, or New York with a 1/2 lb. of Dungeness Crab Legs, Baked Potato, Fresh Vegetable and Dessert- $72 per person. Live performance by "Vintage Vocalist" Mindy Lancaster from 5pm-8pm on Friday Feb 14th. Finish the evening with a romantic night cap in the captivating Speak Easy Copper Room Lounge underneath the Hotel. We came for dinner before a show at the Sutter Theater. The menu had many delicious options. From dinner sized appetizers to plates like lamb shank , grilled salmon and prime rib. There were several delicious sounding dinner size salads as well. We chose the small cut of prime rib and received a generous portion with perfectly cooked vegetables mashed or baked potatoes. Our meat, requested med rare was a bit more rare than med but still delicious. The house made bread pudding was divine! Our service was friendly and efficient even giving us our dessert free because he thought it was taking too long to come out of the kitchen. That type of proactive approach is what keeps customers. We will be back!

Excellent! We are visiting Amador from Houston for wine tasting and meeting up with some friends from Sacramento. Recommend: Calamari Chicken saltimbocca Harvest salad with grilled shrimp Cocktails Old Fashioned Blood orange cosmo Great wine list. Friendly and attentive service Cool environment Great place!

Roasted brussel sprout appetizer, lamb shank entree, bread pudding dessert and a bottle of Andis "Curse of Knowledge" that complimented all courses. Fabulous meal, you won't be disappointed. Nice touch was the chef coming out to meet diners so we got to thank him personally.

Such a good experience. Dined early so it was quiet. Food and service great. Live music in the bar was a bonus.

Ordered chicken saltimboca dinner: overcooked, dry. Ordered short ribs dinner. It was not dry but way overcooked.

We at Hotel Sutter would like to apologize that you did not fully enjoy your time with us during your last visit. We thank you however for leaving us a review and we have taken all that you've told us into account and will continue to strive to improve every facet of our business. Your meal that was unsatisfactory is definitely an exception for our kitchen, and we have notified the kitchen team including our head chef. We do hope to see you again in the future so we might have the opportunity to give you an excellent experience at the Hotel Sutter.

The food was great. It came in timely manner. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. The prime rib was cooked to perfection and the sides were tasty. My wife had the coconut shrimp and the Harvest Salad, both were excellent.

It’s always a great experience at The Sutter! Great staff and food. And the bill is always a happy surprise! I definitely recommend having a cocktail downstairs before or after dinner (or both).

The food is amazing! The servers were personable and kind. Our server offered kid-friendly meal options in addition to their delicious menu. The bar got a little rowdy at times and drowned out our conversation, but it wasn't enough to ruin our experience. I've never had a bad meal there and our grade school aged boys said they would return to eat there again. And THAT, is the true testament! :-)
