After a very warm welcome to an easy accessible table (for a diner with a walking frame) we enjoyed very tasty food. The Warnham sausages were very good as were the home baked pies and puddings! A lovely meal!

Myself, my husband and son booked a table for 415pm on fathers day and were highly disappointed from start to finish. We arrived 15 mins early and shown to a very small table near a fire exit. The pub was nearly empty and lots available tables. We had to ask for a children's menu. My husband orders patè for starter. Along with two adult roasts and a child's, which we waited ovedan hour for. The staff kept walking pass with mops and hoovers while also cleaning the lines. It was pretty obvious they were closing and wanted to go home. Which left us baffled as we were early for our booking. The food arrived covered in very think gravy, the roast beef was chewy while the roast potatoes were over cooked and full of oil. Completely inedible. When I went to pay the bill I was charged a whopping £82, we had a large come, medium wine and a small lemonade. When I enquired about the price I was it was a minimum 2 courses. Which worked out I paid £28 for a roast I didn't eat. The staff offered me a tub of ice cream to take home. Sadly we will not be returning or recommending the pub.

Sorry to have to report that the pate starter was large in size but low in quality (fatty pate, soggy toast, poor salad garnish) and the beef roast dinner was extremely disappointing (over-cooked and dry beef, over-cooked potatoes). We will not be returning.

Lovely pub, lovely friendly staff. Very prompt service. It was noisy in there but I had booked lunch on the day of an MG car club meeting. So not the pubs fault.

The food was very good and not over expensive. The staff we chatty and helpful. The same landlord has run the pub for 20 years plus and always has kept high standards.

Pleasant atmosphere. Not too busy but not too quiet. Staff were excellent. Food was excellent

We had a great time at the Sussex Oak in Warnham. The place is superb, the garden magnificent and the welcome adorable (a special for Michele the waitress). I recommend the sausages (bangers) from the village butcher (Bailey's) which are excellent. A moment of calm and pleasure. All products are local and delicious. To recommend without hesitation!
