A restaurant that celebrates the splendour of British seafood and produce from local farms.

We are delighted to use the finest of local producers, farmers, and growers of the region. Seafood will always remain our focus. Oysters from Pinneys of Orford, fresh fish from Wightman based in Lowestoft, as well as meat from Salter & King in Aldeburgh, we are incredibly lucky to work with the best.

As always a lovely experience. Very welcoming friendly staff with the added bonus of being dog friendly. Advise on booking if taking a dog and they plan a table with plenty of floor space next to it. Having said that this time I forgot but they very quickly accommodated my hound. Thanks for having us again, am working my way through the menu so will be back soon!

Another brilliant meal at the Suffolk. Oysters, lobster and chips, and chocolate tart. Each one perfect. Lovely Chablis too. Service perfectly timed. it’s not cheap but for us it’s the best place to eat in Suffolk.

By far the best food we've eaten in a restaurant in the UK. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. The quality justifies the price. The wine and rhe service were also great.

This meal was a 70th birthday present & what a lovely present it was,we were welcomed warmly when we arrived the atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely with soft music in the background & the restaurant was clean with tables far enough apart to be able to talk. All the staff were incredibly friendly & attentive but not pushy explaining the menu in detail, the food was delicious, it arrived hot & well presented I couldn’t fault it. I will definitely return & would definitely recommend a visit.

This is a simply superb restaurant. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu which although not huge makes great use of local produce, especially fish and shellfish. All the food was extremely well cooked and presented and the portions satisfied even the most hungry amongst us. The cost is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of all the produce. The restaurant itself is well laid out and the clientele when we went was very mixed and the mix helped to give a friendly and even noise level.

Staff were welcoming but service was disjointed as not one server bought the food it felt rushed and the food although okay was very expensive, £6 for 6 tiny new potatoes , halibut was nice but underseasoned and lacking in flavour £15 for a large wine was excessive, bought in bread for the price point is not good

From the moment we arrived we knew we would enjoy our evening. Our welcome was friendly and the service throughout was professional, relaxed and charming. The food was excellent - beautifully cooked and presented and absolutely delicious. Wine list was short but good although a little French biased. Great atmosphere. We loved our last meal during our stay at Aldeburgh.

We had a really great meal and a lovely bottle of wine all recommended by our waiter. Will definitely be returning to try the soufflé and the Brill.

Skillfully cooked food, nicely presented, especially the halibut. Wide ranging choice of high quality wines but some were over priced. Service was erratic, especially an overlong wait for coffee. Sadly our experience did not match our expectations
