A restaurant that celebrates the splendour of British seafood and produce from local farms.

We are delighted to use the finest of local producers, farmers, and growers of the region. Seafood will always remain our focus. Oysters from Pinneys of Orford, fresh fish from Wightman based in Lowestoft, as well as meat from Salter & King in Aldeburgh, we are incredibly lucky to work with the best.

We had the most wonderful stay for our anniversary and simply outstanding meal. Nibbles, oysters & rosé on the rooftop overlooking the beach at sunset, followed by delicious crab, scallops and one of the best Côte de beuf we've ever had... already planning our next trip. A wonderful, knowledgeable team who made us feel so welcome and looked after. Thankyou and see you very soon! Freya & João x

Had a super lunch. It was a beautiful day so sat on the roof top area and had a lovely cocktail each, water provided for our little dog. Moved into the restaurant for lunch greeted again in a very friendly manner and shown to table. Great service throughout, excellent young man who talked us through the specials and answered any questions. Again water offered for our dog. Excellent drinks service with wine kept in an ice bucket on waiters station, but kept our glasses topped up throughout our meal. We went for the whole Brill, fish of the day, excellent filleting of the fish at the table with other items brought as soon as fish served. Absolutely beautiful fish, all food fantastic. Would highly recommend, and we had 3 courses, weren’t rushed , fabulous lunch experience .Well done to all involved.

We were greeted warmly upon arrival. We were shown to our table, it was next to a party who were enjoying themselves but quite loud. That’s fine but my husband is deaf so they moved us to an area that was quieter. We were brought water and advised on which wine to have. But it’s all about the food, which didn’t disappoint. I had snails to start my husband had scallops, both were really tasty. Main course was Dover sole in lemon butter. It tasted so fresh obviously caught earlier in the day it was excellent. Dessert for us was a cheese board to share, it was fine but could maybe have had a more interesting accompanyment than a very small amount of celery. Overall it’s a fabulous place to eat . We look forward to returning, we were really made to feel welcome. Thank you Suffol 😊

A limited menu but everything we had was delicious. (Would benefit from offering a real ale in addition to wine & lager!)

Stunning meal, in the sun, on the terrace. Really lovely staff, great ambience. £153 for two starters, two mains and two glasses of champagne is quite a lot though - especially given that it is not a London restaurant where I might expect such prices. All in all though a wonderful meal - I would go back and I would recommend.
