The Stravaig a contemporary kitchen & cocktail Bar with added function room within the kylestrome hotel. Serving up fresh local Scottish cuisine. In the heart of ayr town centre and private parking. With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

    Excellent..our first visit but won’t be the last …staff were very personable and professional Food was excellent..as were cocktails Thanks for a very enjoyable experience

    Third visit...yet again what a fabulous meal! Consistently good and great wine list from Corney & Barrow! Such great service too...and the stunning surroundings just perfectly compliment the experience! Planning to come again soon!

    I don’t know where to start food was outstanding. But I have never been to a restaurant where the staff are so attentive and caring.

    Dined on a Saturday evening. Service was first class, we were welcomed on arrival and shown straight to our table. Menus and drinks orders were taken promptly and starter served within 10 minutes of ordering. The soup was delicious as was the bread served with it. The mains were served within 10 minutes of finishing the starters. The portions were substantial on both courses and excellent quality. The service was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be returning and would recommend a visit to anyone .

    Beautiful decor & the staff were excellent. Very friendly & attentive. Food was absolutely delicious & ample portion size.

    This was my second visit to The Stravaig and my goodness it did not disappoint.. my wife and I have dined in most of the restaurants in our home town, but this place is something special ..it really is!! The ambience is outstanding, the service excellent, and the food…..WOW. It will take a few visits to work our way right through the menu, but we fully intend to do so. The meal was delivered piping hot and my steak cooked to perfection.. my wife chose a seafood dish, which he hasn’t stopped talking about since… a special shout out the lassies who served us, they were cheery, very efficient, and an absolute credit to the premises. We were especially touched by the thoughtful contact made by the management as we left. All in all, a restaurant we cannot praise highly enough, and most certainly value for money Thank you Stravaig.
