The Stravaig a contemporary kitchen & cocktail Bar with added function room within the kylestrome hotel. Serving up fresh local Scottish cuisine. In the heart of ayr town centre and private parking. With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

Our first time here but not our last. A fabulous range of food, lovely lovely service from everyone, and beautiful surroundings. What more could you ask for.

Staff very welcoming & friendly & service prompt but not rushed. Food slightly cooler than preferred but very tasty, well presented, & good value. We will go back for sure.

The Stravaig have really nailed excellence in a big way .. Faultless and a very enjoyable experience from start to finish. Food very good and Staff are quite simply exceptional .. Praise where praise is due and the highest praise is what the Stravaig is due 👍👍👍👍😁😁😋😋😋🙏🙏 Robbie Lux

Food was great, service was great, although quite noisey where we were sat, but mainly due to a birthday party at an adjacent table. Only negative was that the cocktails felt slightly watered down for the price. We returned to collect our car the next morning and had breakfast which was brilliant and the lattes were perfect We will visit here again

Very friendly service and excellent food. Not the cheapest food in Ayr but you get what you pay for and Stravaig did it in spades.

Great service from the moment I walked in. The Maitre D’ attention to detail was outstanding - I was greeted with Good Afternoon Mrs McMillan - excellent skills! The mushroom and truffle soup was the best ever! We had lunch of soup and sandwiches which were delicious. Highly recommend The Stravaig.

Food unfortunately not as good as the service. Pedro the Portuguese waiter was outstanding. Food very average. Pasta heavy with cream and oil. Flavours not too bad. Desserts were better. Nice ambience.polite staff. Food needs to be upgraded to restaurant quality not just basic pub grub.....
