The origin of The Story Café emerged from the mantra “There is a story in everything”
So in 2018 when we fell upon a 30 year old warehouse, we saw the potential to transform the abandoned space into a warm, hospitable, unique eatery. Through consistent innovation, research and dedication we managed to blend our affinity for coffee, music, food and antique into a ambient mélange of vintage and nostalgia. Today, we proudly present our eatery to newcomers and are considered a staple in the Richmond community!

Food is good. Sauces in everything. Our reservation was 6:45pm but waited till 7pm to get table.

Mentioned there would be a Live band every Tuesday but turns out it's every other Tuesday. Tried to call ahead and wanted to ask to confirm but there's no direct way to talk to a person.

The food and service were fantastic! I highly recommend everyone eat here. Many different choices depending on what you feel like eating and a great value for outstanding food.

We swung bye when walking our dog and had a light snack & beer on the deck and mentioned we had reservations for dinner and so about 2 1/2 hours later we showed up for dinner and just had a pizza and salad since we were not exactly super hungry…. Everything was fantastic and the service was super friendly & very effective and the lovely heaters in the outside deck were perfect… The beers were fantastic and the wine was even better when we came back for dinner. We want to come back and try some of the amazing main courses!!

Except for being completely left alone by our waitress and having to ask other servers to obtain water all the time and grab the bill, food was great as always.
