The origin of The Story Café emerged from the mantra “There is a story in everything”
So in 2018 when we fell upon a 30 year old warehouse, we saw the potential to transform the abandoned space into a warm, hospitable, unique eatery. Through consistent innovation, research and dedication we managed to blend our affinity for coffee, music, food and antique into a ambient mélange of vintage and nostalgia. Today, we proudly present our eatery to newcomers and are considered a staple in the Richmond community!

Food is great, but if you're going for the music performance, the time on their website doesn't seem to be accurate. The website said the music performance starts at 7:30, but the performance didn't start until 8:45.

Stopped in for charcuterie board and wine. The service was excellent. Had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our food. Wished we lived in Canada so we could revisit

We had brunch here before so we thought we would try to go for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. After seeing all the rating and best awards for many categories, we had high expectations. However, at the end we felt it was a little over rated and over priced from appetizers to desserts. If you want a little privacy in a relaxing setting, you don't get it here because tables are so close that you can hear every word out of the person sitting next to you and you end up not wanting to talk. Basically, you can grab fries and pizza from the next table with just a stretch of your arm. Also, it's a little excessive to ask for credit card guarantee, seating time reminders at booking, by email, by text, at the moment of you entering the restaurant and in the middle of your dinner (we had an hour left and we were eating desserts already)... Too much -- killing the mood. They might as well inprint the seating time limit on every wooden table there. Prices published online do NOT match the prices on the final receipt. Why pay extra 10 to 20% for desserts(!?) We might go for brunch again, but not dinner. For the price we paid there, we could have a fancy full course buffet dinner with music in a 5-star hotel restaurant with an ocean view in Downtown Vancouver. Just my thoughts...

My girlfriend and I had a fabulous time tonight!! We shared the hair look tomato salad which was delicious! I had the linguine carbonara which was to die for and she had the lobster pasta. We both were saying Mmm as we were eating! lol! We finished sharing the crème brûlée that we easily finished in 5 minutes! Service was spot on too! We’ll be back!!

our experience was amazing,just a heads up though ,please make reservation because it does get busy ,i just feel bad for the people that was bot able to dine it ,cause theres no more seats. Anyways back to the review ,we reserve it at 6 pm,my good friend arrived early at 0540 and she was already seated,we arrived 5 mins after our reservation time and one more good friend arrived 20 mins after,they werent very strict at least in that matter ,as long as one person arrive first . So that was good. the staff are very friendly. We ordered this truffle fries for starters and they are the most awesomeness.i dont like fries but this ones the best. We ended up ordering 3 times of the truffle prize with the gatlic mayonnaise that they have ..it was so so good.Melts in your mouth, also its good while its hot but the one that i took to go was still good until this morning. We ordered drinks ,someof the drinks that we order they dont have it like bellini but they suggested something else whichbis really good. Its soury flavor with strawberry fruits ,i dont remember the name ,i forgot oemgee. anyways thats was good ,the good thing about story cafe is that if they dont have what your looking for they always suggest something better . The only thing that i was not a fan is there calamari but ,it was okey the entree or the regular menu ,im not sure whats it called are the bomb i got the lobster gnochi ,its very creamy and tasty,i cannot so much describe the taste but amazing i love it my good friend ordered linguine carbonara she said it was the 2nd best for her and the others ordered scallop rissotto ,she said this is what she ordered before,this is her 2nd time and she like freshness of it ,im not sure what it means but she love it. We wanted to order more but oh boy we are so full they have steak and a lot of other foods but we cannot eat no more But one thing for sure imnso coming back for the truffle fries ohhh lalalla thank you Story Cafe

This is a great date night experience any night of the week. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. The musician that night, @yunnasings, was the perfect acoustic accompaniment to our evening.

I have been here many times and it does not disappoint. Great value and amazing food! Top choices- duck breast, pork chop, beef wellington and killing me softly chocolate dessert. Absolutely delicious.
