The Statler is an American Bistro and Cocktail Bar nestled into the heart of Downtown Detroit's Entertainment District. The Statler offers classic cuisine with a slightly modern twist, catering to both adventurous and traditional diners alike. Our menu was created by Certified Master Chef Daniel Scannell, modeling a French Bistro. The Statler delivers a world class Gastro and Mixology Bar and Formal Dining Room Experiences. Enjoy a Smoked Old Fashioned with Suntory Japanese Whiskey and Crispy Calamari, and Friends during Happy Hour, then a Bottle of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon with Braised Short Ribs and Family in our Dining Room. The Statler is within walking distance from venues like Comerica Park, Ford Field, Detroit Opera House, Fox Theatre, Little Caesar’s Arena, and more. The Statler offers FREE PARKING for 3 hours while dining in the restaurant which is located underground and inside (call for instructions or ask the Valet attendant for directions).

Came here for the first time, the ambiance was perfect for a date night. The food was fantastic and not overpriced for a nicer place. The service was excellent. Would definitely come back.

Service was wonderful but food was average . All the food was lukewarm to cold and not the level of quality was expecting .

It took over two hours to get our meal descriptions are not accurate herb crusted shrimp is actually just deep-fried shrimp, the beet salad is a regular salad with a few pieces of beet in it,and came out with no dressing, short rib, one of their best sellers came out, totally overcooked and inedible. The manager was attentive, but our whole meal, including desserts. Hopefully they were just having a bad day. It’s a cool location a fun looking restaurant.

Very excellent experience overall, the kitchen and bar were a little slow but our server and all the wait staff were attentive and kind, very positive experience overall.

Our server was lovely and personable. We weren’t rushed. The lemon drop martini was a little blah but the other drinks were good. The oysters and shrimp cocktail was delicious. The sole was a little bland which was a bummer but the ragout my husband had was up his alley. Overall a lovely experience. Just needs a bit more seasoning on that sole and it would have been a perfect night.

Food is excellent!! However dod not appreciate paying $20 for Valet parking plus $26.50 for Garage Parking!! $46.50 Total for parking is ridiculous and deceptive. This should be explained upfront.

Very disappointed. The food was good but not outstanding as expected for a high end restaurant. But the service was awful. We were on time for our 6pm reservation and seated quickly (by our request) outside. The waitress came to the table shortly after and queried whether we were attending a show that night. We told her we were and the show started at 730 but we didn't think there would be any problem because the Opera House is only a 5 minute walk. BUT... It took 20 minutes to get a beer to our table. Some time later bread came and finally the appetizer came. At 7pm we had not gotten our mains. Our waitress was no where to be seen. Support staff hunted her down. Some 5 minutes later she is at our table. I asked for our meal to be arrive pronto WITH dessert and boxes as well as the bill. I left to use the rest room. When I returned our main was on the table but no boxes, no dessert and no bill. Again the support staff had to hunt her down. We got our dessert, bill and boxes. The support staff were clearing our table before we even vacated. We got to our seats at 7:25. As we ate our meal we noted many other restaurants in the area. Next time ( and there will be a next time to go to a show at the Opera House) we will eat somewhere else. We will let others know as well.
