The Statler is an American Bistro and Cocktail Bar nestled into the heart of Downtown Detroit's Entertainment District. The Statler offers classic cuisine with a slightly modern twist, catering to both adventurous and traditional diners alike. Our menu was created by Certified Master Chef Daniel Scannell, modeling a French Bistro. The Statler delivers a world class Gastro and Mixology Bar and Formal Dining Room Experiences. Enjoy a Smoked Old Fashioned with Suntory Japanese Whiskey and Crispy Calamari, and Friends during Happy Hour, then a Bottle of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon with Braised Short Ribs and Family in our Dining Room. The Statler is within walking distance from venues like Comerica Park, Ford Field, Detroit Opera House, Fox Theatre, Little Caesar’s Arena, and more. The Statler offers FREE PARKING for 3 hours while dining in the restaurant which is located underground and inside (call for instructions or ask the Valet attendant for directions).

Wonderful staff, delicious food. Very loud. Not for an intimate dinner rater more of a celebration place.

Was our anniversary. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 7:30 reservation. Were seated promptly then waited 10 minutes for water another 15 minutes for waitress to arrive for the first time. Discussed menu and asked for a few minutes. 10 minutes later she was back to take our order. Then we sat for another 20 minutes waiting for our wine to arrive while a group who came in with us as well as several others who came in after us had drinks and food served. We were sitting in the restaurant a total of 55 minutes before our wine finally came with only water and no bread or food during that whole time. At that point we were done and had to leave as I was not paying for that and the evening was ruined anyway. Was not impressed with service as no one else inquired if we needed anything or offered to assist us as other customers were served around us and we just sat. I can honestly say I have never had such poor service at a supposedly nice restaurant. We will not be going back.

We always enjoy dining at The Statler and this past Saturday was no exception. From the time we walked in service was outstanding. All staff//servers were welcoming, friendly, helpful, and knowledge.able. The sommelier was wonderful and we appreciaaated her assistance. The wine selection was fabulous! The seating, which we requested (a two-seater booth), was very comfortable. We find the room warm and beautifully appointed. Our entrees were good. My husband's Sole Francaise was a little overcooked and my Bouillabaisse Provencal, which is a favorite, was a too salty. The carrot cake was wonderful.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner on a beautiful summer evening. Great food and wine offerings. Sarah was a great server, very friendly and knowledgeable. Downtown Detroit is transformed!

Restaurant was very nice. Food and drinks were excellent. A bit pricey, so not some place I would go on a regular basis.

First time in the beautiful city of Detroit and it did not disappoint. Chose The Statler based on so many reviews and we wanted low pressure for my husbands birthday dinner. Walking up there was an outdoor DJ that really relaxed the whole night. Veronica was our server, delightful, knowledgeable of the menu items and so pleasant all night. We had the east-west coast raw oysters mix with fresh horseradish which was amazing. East were a lot better flavor but both were enjoyable. We also had the lamb meatballs, perfect in every way. Dinner was the bouillabaisse and George’s scallops, both were divine. You must get the green beans and the butter mushrooms! Manager stopped by and greeted us as well, really a fantastic staff!

Foie gras was disappointing, and so was the duck, as a main dish. 2 classic dishes in France… Wine was great Service: Sarah was great.
