The Statler is an American Bistro and Cocktail Bar nestled into the heart of Downtown Detroit's Entertainment District. The Statler offers classic cuisine with a slightly modern twist, catering to both adventurous and traditional diners alike. Our menu was created by Certified Master Chef Daniel Scannell, modeling a French Bistro. The Statler delivers a world class Gastro and Mixology Bar and Formal Dining Room Experiences. Enjoy a Smoked Old Fashioned with Suntory Japanese Whiskey and Crispy Calamari, and Friends during Happy Hour, then a Bottle of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon with Braised Short Ribs and Family in our Dining Room.     The first thing that jumped out at us was the menu. So many of the dishes, including the sides, soups, and salads, in addition to the entrees looked so delicious! It was so hard to decide. When we decided on the scallops and the filet we were definitely pleased. Honestly, I want to go back and try everything!

    We celebrated our anniversary and we had great time. The food was excellent and highly recommend the scallops and short ribs

    Main dish and plates were barely lukewarm. When taking drink order, did not inquire about vodka preference deflault brand is Tito’s. However, to their credit, they did replace it.

    I brought my fiance here for Father’s Day, and was honestly embarrassed that I did. There was no bread; the lobster stew looked completely different than advertised; the drinks were not up to par, and the list goes on and on. Our server Katrina was delightful enough; the manager Ron was relatively useless. I can’t say that I’ll be back anytime soon. Very disappointing.

    I ordered Breakfast Americana. I had high expectations for this. However, it looks like ordinary breakfast with 2 pieces of bread, scrambled egg, bacon and sausages. Nothing special and extra ordinary. I don't think it's worth the price

    Loved it for the ambiance. Was not aware that there was a special Father’s Day brunch menu, that was not online. Had hoped for a couple items from the menu. I thought the drinks were overly expensive for what we got. $20 for a Bloody Mary that was nothing special is way to much as was the mimosa for $15. I don’t mind paying for a drink that is “special” but the normals should not be priced that high. The Father’s Day menu was $8 to $10 more than the regular menu. That is uncalled for. The lobster Benedict looked no different than the regular brunch lobster Benedict and was $10 more. That is price gouging, at these prices you were not really giving a discount for Fathers by giving $ off on their meal. I loved the restaurant besides all of the games and price gouging. I really wanted to be impressed but was disappointed by the prices. I think you can do better.

    Incredibly underwhelming. We had been looking forward to this brunch for a few weeks, and both agreed it was not a memorable meal. The service was “meh,” especially considering we were one of three tables seated inside. We were also stunned that the strict “no substitutions” policy included not having poached eggs, included with the Benedict, poached hard (the runny centers give my partner a stomach ache). Service was slow, inattentive and a bit aloof, food was generally unremarkable and the atmosphere was fine, but certainly not noteworthy, given the restaurant scene downtown.
