The Statler is an American Bistro and Cocktail Bar nestled into the heart of Downtown Detroit's Entertainment District. The Statler offers classic cuisine with a slightly modern twist, catering to both adventurous and traditional diners alike. Our menu was created by Certified Master Chef Daniel Scannell, modeling a French Bistro. The Statler delivers a world class Gastro and Mixology Bar and Formal Dining Room Experiences. Enjoy a Smoked Old Fashioned with Suntory Japanese Whiskey and Crispy Calamari, and Friends during Happy Hour, then a Bottle of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon with Braised Short Ribs and Family in our Dining Room. The Statler is within walking distance from venues like Comerica Park, Ford Field, Detroit Opera House, Fox Theatre, Little Caesar’s Arena, and more. The Statler offers FREE PARKING for 3 hours while dining in the restaurant which is located underground and inside (call for instructions or ask the Valet attendant for directions).

Fantastic meal for my mother's birthday. We enjoyed the appetizers, the steaks were amazing and we had wonderful service. We'll be back.

I ate at this restaurants back to back weekends on a Saturday, once for my birthday with my family and the second time with my significant other. The first time was reserved for 5pm and second time 6pm. I didn’t really review the first time around but this time decided to see if things were on par with the first trip. My reservation was found seamlessly each time; however, the I had the same female hostess and possibly either male owner or manager. Both times the hostess and manager had quiet, but still loud enough to hear, what seemed like mini arguments about where to set us for our reservation. Both times it was quickly resolved but just felt a little unwelcome and awkward. In true French fashion this restaurant doesn’t start to get busy until about 7pm, so to be so unsure of where to set us in an unbusy reautaurant was slightly awkward. We also ended up having the same waitress each time. She was very prompt to come to our table after we were sat to offer beverages and to explain the specials of the day. The food has been fantastic each and every time. I recommend the duck, seafood, and macaroni; although, none of the dishes have disappointed. The second visit we opted for dessert. A different waiter helped the waitress to show us the selected desserts for the night on a serving style tray. We quickly noticed as we were waiting for our selected desserts that the other guests who were also decided and been presented with a rolling cart with additional choices we were not offered. The dessert was just okay. We had a cake that tasted like Forreror Rocher. However it tasted as it was popped out of the freezer and onto the plate. Overall, I would suggest this restaurant for their ambiance and French vibe and their excellent menu options. I will definitely go back to try the morning bunch as well, I just wish their hostess service/management was a little more professional. A dinner for two approx $130-$300 with tip.

Excellent night out. The food is at par or better than La supreme. The prixe fee menu is a fantastic value. They cocktails were fabulous. I cannot say enough good things about this place. They also comp your parking don’t scan the QR code you’ll see in the garage. You won’t regret going here.

An empty restaurant but seated by the kitchen. Appetizers were fair but not memorable. One main course was excellent but the steak was returned still cold. Desserts were excellent. A pricey meal and one would expect better attention to detail and quality at this price point.

We had the best time at dinner! Everything was wonderful (food, service, playlist, etc.). The restaurant even had a bottle of champagne chilling to celebrate my new job!

We felt very welcomed by the host Michael who provided the parking details we were glad to have due to the congestion that was in the area. After being seated the service provided by was outstanding. Her suggestions were very much appreciated and we enjoyed our selections.

Our first time at the Statler. Celebrated our 278 year anniversary. The service was excellent very attentive. Waitress Ella the Manager Michael and another Manager that I failed to get his name were awesome. The food was very good my only disappointment was they do not serve Ribeye Steaks however everything else was delicious. Calimari, Braised ShortRibs and a potato in some type of sauce was to die for.
